Re: Grandstream GXV-3672-FHD

Yeah I noticed the same pause in the feed when changing settings. For some settings the camera seems to do a complete reboot. Others it just restarts the rtsp feed. BTW, on Scientific Linux 6.5 and zm 1.27 I have things working really well. The computer I'm using isn't quite beefy enough for the loa...

Event filter actions

I've got zm set to automatically generate video if alarm frames are above a threshold for any event. Once that is done, does the filter have any way to run a script that would have variables available about the event and the video? I found the tokens that appear to be available for email notificatio...

Timestamp font adjustments

Could we get an option to adjust the size of the timestamp font? The timestamp in images and video I'm getting from a 1920x1080 camera is really tiny in the corner, almost to being unreadable. I think it would have to be specific to each monitor. A global change could fix a high resolution camera bu...

Events closing too early

I'm seeing events detected in multiple parts that I think should be one event. It's basically detecting the end of movement too soon and stopping the initial event, only to detect another one right away. Still wrapping my head around all the nuts and bolts in zm, which setting will cause it to wait ...

Record triggered by different cam

Grandstream GXV3672FHD cams have a HiDef and a lowdef video source. I want to do motion detection on the lowdef, and trigger the HiDef to record. Can't seem to figure out where or how to set this up. Any how-tos or docs to describe the set up for this?

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

* BUMP * ZoneMinder 1.27 Release Candidate RPMs are available for download now. The repository configuration has changed so it is very important for existing users to follow the new instructions. Gonna try to get the 1.27 installed today or tomorrow after work. I really should do a fresh clean inst...

Re: Grandstream GXV-3672-FHD

Grandstream sent me the settings they used in zoneminder which they say will work, but I'm getting nothing in the monitor. Their suggested settings: Source Type: ffmpeg Source Path: rtsp://<IP address>/0 Capture height & width to match the camera's settings. In High B/W Options WEB_H_REFRESH_IMAGE: ...

How to get manufacturer's support

Anyone have experience and/or advice on getting support from manufacturer's? I've contacted Grandstream about setting up their GXV-3672-FHD in zm. They told me they have tested the camera in zm and it worked good. What I haven't gotten yet is a list of settings for the camera and zm to get things wo...

ZM 1.25 on Fedora 20

This is a fresh Fedora 20 install, followed the F18 instructions on the wiki but something isn't right. When I have the console up and look at the log I see lots of errors like the ones below. zmwatch 10351 ERR Can't open memory map file '/dev/shm/zm.mmap.1': No such file or directory zmdc 10281 ERR...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPM for Fedora

yum list available shows pacakges available from the repos currently configured on you system, but the packages shown at the beginning of this thread don't exist in any repo. That's why they are listed there and won't show up with when you issue that command. You have to click on each link, downloa...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPM for Fedora

Before you can install any of the ZoneMinder rpm's, you must add the following prerequisites. RPMFusion repository perl-X10-0.03-1.noarch.rpm perl-Astro-SunTime-0.01-1.noarch.rpm perl-Sys-Mmap-0.14-12.fc19.x86_64.rpm perl-Sys-Mmap-0.14-12.fc19.i686.rpm NOTE: The perl-Sys-Mmap rpms listed above cont...

Re: Necessary HW for IP only setup

Since I here nothing but the crickets in this thread; How about this question instead: Would zoneminder running on a decent Core i7 quad core system with 8G of memory, gigabit ethernet to a POE switch be able to comfortably handle 6 1080p IP cameras? I've never worked with IP cameras so I don't have...

Necessary HW for IP only setup

I'm doing research into setting up a ZM rig that will be IP cameras only and need some suggestions/advice for the hardware needed. I'm looking at some HD cameras that do 1080p video, possibly Grandstream GXV3672_FHD's. Initially I plan on getting 3 of them, hooked up via a POE switch TRENDnet (TPE-T...
