Re: WAP & others

Hi Paul,

Better, and more, WAP support on it's way for sure.

As for the release notifications, there is the mailing list of course for now but I think I'll plug in a direct mailing list from the site shortly so if you're registered here you'll be notified of new releases and other news.

Re: create some install faq

Hi Fernando, I have a FAQ section on the site ready to go live so if you want to post something I'll copy it over. Other than that there is the troubleshooting section of the readme which is pretty much the same. I think several people have posted that they get the error you are seeing if g++ is not...

Re: Installation/Upgrade issue...

Hi Jeff, No problem with the posts, I'll remove the redundant ones when I get chance. Regarding the missing config table, did you remember to run the zmalter scripts for _all_ intervening versions. So going from .12 to .15 you would run the script for .12, .13 and .14 (except I don't think there was...

Re: zm-0.9.14 zmschema.sql MIA?

Hi, Yes it is supposed to be there. In the db directory to be precise. Before you have run zmconfig.pl it will exist as zmconfig.sql.z which is what is in the distribution. Once you run zmconfig.pl it will substitute the database name in there and then you'll get the .sql version. However I would st...

Re: wireless network cameras

Hi Matt, I have a D-Link DCS-1000W and I've got to say I'm not really impressed. It's a pain to set up and even at the lowest compression the images are very contoured and have lots of artefacts on them. Plus in bright light the whole image gets washed out white and in dim light it goes virtually gr...

Re: bug zone..

Hi Fernando,

I think the general forum is the place for bug reports.

Don't fill it up too quickly though!!

Re: have a problem with zm-0.9.14b.tar.gz

Hi Fernando, I think you'll find that if you look at your zm_config_defines.h file it is empty. This is generated by running zmconfig but previously only once it has saved to the DB. I plan to release .15 hopefully tonight which will help get around some of the installation problems of .14 so I woul...

Re: SNMP

Hi Julian, I'm always looking at ways to integrate ZM with other systems. Currently it's got X10 and that's about it, though I intend to add xAP to that when I get time. Can you explain a bit more about what you have in mind? What kind of information would you see being passed and in which direction...

Re: Axis 2100 camera setup

Hi Jeff, Congratulations on being the first poster! (apart from me). I had a setup with an Axis 2100 which was on someone elses system. I think the path component of the URL, which I assume is what you need, was /axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=320x240 or /axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=640x480...
