LCDatabase, To access you're Airlink camera from outside of your local network (wired or wireless), you need to configure port forwarding on your router. First you'll want to setup your Airlink to use a static IP address. You can do this by setting a static IP address in the camera's setup page. (Al...

You might find help in the thread about the Zoneminder 1.24.1 deb package:
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13555

If you don't have any previous Zoneminder data, I would just delete the older zoneminder packages you've installed with the -purge option and try reinstalling.

To get the authentication page go to the 'System' tab in options page and enable 'OPT_USE_AUTH'. Then restart zoneminder and you'll get the authentication page. This is true for 1.24.x, 1.23.x and older versions of Zoneminder. You're 1.24.1 compile problems look like an issue with ffmpeg's developme...

Did you run zmupdate.pl on your database to upgrade it to the 1.24x structure? If you haven't already, backup your database and call zmupdate.pl -version=<from version> [--user=<database user> --pass=<database password>] Use a database username & password with write and alter permissions to your ZM ...

You got zoneminder running a system and you can access it at http://127.0.0.1/zm. If you trying to access it from a different machine on the same network you want to type ifconfig at the console. The " inet addr:" will be the IP address of you're machine and you can then access it with http://<ip>/z...

Judging from the specs on the product pages alone, the differences I see are: Lens sizes: The TV-IP110 has a smaller lens which means it gives you a more wider view angle. Minimum Illumination: The TV-IP110 has better low light performance Hardware: The TV-IP110 has twice the ROM size and twice the ...

To restore a database you do the following at the console. mysql -u <mysql_root> -p zm < zm-db-backup.sql If you get an error that the database zm dosen't exist you type mysqladmin -u <mysql_root> -p create zm and then try again the db restore again. Given you haven't gotten your 1.22 install working, I am assuming you don't have any existing data you need to save over to the upgrade to 1.24. If that is the case then I'd recommend deleting your 1.22 through apt-get or Synaptic, make sure that Zoneminders web folder in apache is deleted and then ...

I would say start at 15 and see what kind of results you get. If you still get too many false alarms due to lighting changes then raise it little by little (maybe increments of 7).

The "Overload Frame Ignore Count" parameter on the zone settings pages helps the motion detection ignore lighting changes a little bit. You can try setting it to the fps of of your monitor to tell it to ignore drastic pixel changes for 1 second and then keep raising the value until you get acceptabl...

ZM 1.24.1 FastForwarding fix

This is a similar patch I made for Zoneminder 1.23.3 (http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12111). Fast forwarding/rewinding was very slow if your view events recorded in a low frame rate while you have a high frame rate set in the bandwidth options (WEB_H_VIDEO_MAXFPS, WEB_M_VIDEO_MAXFP...

It's more efficient to capture a mjpg stream than constantly capturing jpg stills. Zonemider will be able to capture a mjpg stream at a higher frame ra...

xnaron, I would double check you adjusted your shared memory settings (found in the FAQ) and then try 640x480 on one camera while the others are turned off. I've heard manufacturers claim their cards only support 320x240 while the card in fact supports 640x480. They were either mistaken or know that...
