Re: Zoneminder Version v1.27.99.0

For bugs you should post at the git site, the more detail the better: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/issues Did you build the installed version from source or did you use someones deb package? My home server is on the current git code and I have not had any issues that I noticed but I will...

Re: What is wrong in memory allocation?

As a testing option it might be interesting to run my virtual machine (use virtualbox) and see if it has the same issues. It would let you know if the issue is with your setup or version of zoneminder. You can get it here: http://linuxtracker.org/index.php?page=torrent-details&id=4203967e839ed50cb89...

Re: What is wrong in memory allocation?

I am not sure if I am looking at the doc for the same device that you have but it states the maximum resolution to be 704x576 so that might be an issue on the 2nd camera. Have you tried removing the min/max FPS settings on the ZM side? Those settings are for locally connected analog cameras and shou...

It has been a while since I have messed with the bttv stuff so I am a bit rusty...

Have you tried it without any options configured for the card? If so, are you able to use VLC to open /dev/video0? What does "ls -h /dev/video*" show?

Re: ZM Ubuntu BT878 Help!

I will need to get back to you in the AM but for now make sure you are part of the "video" group in /etc/group and if not add your account and reboot or logout and back in. Then use VLC to open /dev/video0 as well as video1,2, etc and see what you get. While you are at it add the user zm runs as to ...

Re: ZM Ubuntu BT878 Help!

Can you do a "dmesg | grep bttv" and post the output here? If you dont get any results reboot the PC and try it again. This should be pretty easy to sort out but some more info would help a lot.

Re: new libvlc advantages

linuxsense is there option to turn off IR in the firmware, on that 35$ camera? Yep, you can toggle it to 'auto', 'on', or 'off'. Note that I have had some odd issues with the web interface using Chrome under Linux, almost seems as if old sessions cause problems with the interface. It works fine in ...

Re: Can I disable web interface security from CLI?

Add: ZM_OPT_USE_AUTH=0 to your zm.conf and restart zoneminder, should do the trick. If that fails you can change the value of ZM_OPT_USE_AUTH in the mySQL "Config" table to a "0". However, I just tested overriding it in zm.conf on one of my servers and it worked so that should be all you need. Just ...

Like I said, I have been receiving the POE version despite paying for the non-POE one. Its not a splitter.

Re: new libvlc advantages

Wow 35$ and poe i gonna have to gamble on it..... Yep. Worst case scenario would be the one you get doesn't have POE so you can just use a cheap injector/splitter to power it over the Ethernet cable. I actually prefer doing that as I have a Raspberry Pi that can toggle the power on the power supply...
