Re: Multi Server Install using NGINX for reverse proxy

There are several changes in the queue that you should be aware of: 1) newer ffmpeg (just made it to RPMFusion stable 2) newer libvlc (just pushed to RPMFusion testing) 3) new zoneminder 1.32.3 packages for el7 (will build as soon as #2 makes it to stable) Not only do the new ffmpeg & vlc help with ...

Re: upgraded from fedora 27 to fedora 29 and zoneminder fails to start

Thanks for spotting that. This has been fixed in master.

Note that ZoneMinder 1.32.3 packages were pushed to RPMFusion stable repo today, if you would rather use a release than a git snapshot.

Re: Missing event counts when value is 0

zmupdate.pl runs the sql statement under the zmuser sql account, but the example I gave ran as the mysql root user. Verify you have granted all permission to the zmuser sql account like so: mysql -uroot -p -e "grant all on zm.* to 'zmuser'@localhost identified by 'zmpass';" mysqladmin -uroot -p relo...

Re: Missing event counts when value is 0

Try calling it from a command prompt:

Code: Select all

$ mysql -uroot -p zm < /usr/share/zoneminder/db/zm_update-1.32.3.sql
This works fine for me, with no error messages.

Re: Missing event counts when value is 0

I've only got guesses at the moment, but there is a conversation in Slack with Akturas reporting negative events. Perhaps this is related. It looks like he just waited and things righted themselves. We fixed an issue displaying event counts on the web console with the 1.32.3 release, but due to the ...

Known issue, that has only shown up on fedora 29. Fixed in 1.32.3.

There is no one here who can answer your question.
Try contacting the debian package maintainer for zoneminder directly.

I just confirmed this with asker couple days ago. Website monitors are not supported on zmninja due to too many potential issues.

Re: PTZ Control Option

Hi folks, this is good news thanks! I tried to add a new monitor with the website selected as a source including a valid website address but it won't work. It keeps changing it back to local source for some reason and the http address gets replace by a hardware port number. I got this error on one ...

Re: Rasberry Pi 3 - 'X264 Encode' Video Writer Grayed out

I am not sure there is one. Both of those old cameras are VGA resolution that stream mjpg. When using the ffmpeg source type, one typically is recording an h264 stream over RTSP. Since those cameras are such low resolution, I'd recommend you just stick with legacy jpeg storage. That is what I am doi...

Re: Rasberry Pi 3 - 'X264 Encode' Video Writer Grayed out

Sorry for the incorrect version info. Its running 1.32.2 No problem. I wanted to say something to avoid confusing others who might read this thread. Is there a version of ZM I can use which support x264 Encode on arm? No, like I said the code to do that is not finished. When using Arm architecture,...

Re: Rasberry Pi 3 - 'X264 Encode' Video Writer Grayed out

Couple of things. 1.32.3 has not been released yet. It will be soon, but today it does not exist. When in doubt, the authoritative source for our releases can be seen here: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/releases Second, compare what you see to the screenshot. Only x264 Encode, is dimmed o...

Re: camera control script design question

From your script: 1) Send API command to stop the monitor 2) send reboot command to the camera 3) Send API start command only after the camera is back online. See the documentation for the zm API: https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/stable/api.html Here is a bit a code from a bash script I use to c...
