Viseon Viewer (aka Zoneminder viewer for windows) does what you want, although it acts a bit buggy when it cycles (at least for me). I use it in a similar way, displaying one camera on a large TV, but it doesn't cycle. Again, the software does support it though. http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/view...

ZMS "Debug" Entry for every streamed image?

I've been having some strange problems with my new ZM installation (1.23.3 on Debian) and I noticed that for every streamed jpg there was an entry in syslog such as the following: Feb 18 11:35:24 zoneminder zms[31412]: INF [Debug Level = 0, Debug Log = <none>] Feb 18 11:35:24 zoneminder zms[31413]: ...

Update!

Update time! I was able to fix the issue in the first post I made (the incomplete images) by unchecking ZM_OPT_FRAME_SERVER. I was still having the timeout issues. I thought it might have had to have been something with the network card / chipset overheating, so I disabled the machine till I could f...

Zoneminder stops responding on LAN after viewing

I just compiled and installed ZM 1.23.3 onto Debian Etch with ffmpeg streaming and video generation working perfectly. I'm not using MPEG streaming, but instead Cambozola / MooTools. Everything appears to work fine, but as soon as I start streaming one or more cameras...can't say how long it takes s...

Can you recommend a ~2 megapixel IP camera?

Hi! I'm trying to see if anyone has had any success with 1.3MP or higher IP cameras. I've been looking at the Arecont 2100m which supports MJPEG, however I haven't been able to confirm that it definitely does/does not work. I don't really want to drop $800+ on one of these cams to find out it doesn'...

The Hauppage BT878 or 848. They have an NTSC coax tuner/ FM coax input, s-video in as well as composite input.

Can you recommend a capture card? 4+ cams @ 15+ fps 640x480

Hi! After my experiences with bluecherry's PV-149 I'm looking for a smaller capture card with higher resolution and more FPS per input without having to deal with the combing. Looking at ebay and places of the like for cheapie cards, I decided to ask here for a recommendation. I'm looking for a capt...

PHP Errors after power failure (SOLVED)

After losing power briefly due to a tripped circuit, I logged into ZM fine but after logging in, the console has the following messages above it: Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /var/www/zm/zm_html_view_console.php on line 78 Table 'E' is marked as crashed...

Errors when cycling camera or watching full-screen

Hello! Been using the viewer for awhile now, but it appears to be very...buggy at times. I'm trying to cycle 3 cameras and once it reaches the third camera I get an error message. It happens on a windows 2000 computer and on a windows xp box. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-...

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping for a response more along the line of "I used an NTSC cam to cover an area x feet by y feet and did/didn't suit my needs. I suppose I'll have to go over there and try the cameraphone suggestion. My phone has an 'NTSC' option, which is kinda weird  . ...

I forget how to implement it, but when researching SMS over various carriers, I found that some providers provide the ability to send short (less than 300 character) emails to cellphones, which get translated into SMS messages. For instance, with T-Mobile, every T-Mobile subscriber can recieve email...

What is better for my application? Analog or Megapixel?

Hey all, I'm just recently completing a 12 camera rollout at a store I work at. I've been called upon to now do a friend's warehouse. A large one at that. My experience with ZM at the store was great. I used analog cameras running at 320x240 resolution at 5 fps. Given the budget the picture from the...

Try updating your ethernet / wifi drivers, or perhaps try using a different NIC altogether. I had a similar problem with an integrared nic on a laptop. Would spam millions of packets and open a ton of connections randomly. Replacing the nic fixed the issue, and a few months later after a format the ...

Well, I don't know if it's a system administration "rule", but whatever happened to RTFM when installing new software that you neverever played with?

If everyone clearly read the manual, they would enable the filter (it does tell you in the manual, right?)
