Lowering the frame rate helped a bit. I decided to dump the database and start over, now my cpu usage is at 12% total. Minimal mysql instead of 100% and 12-13% for the zma and zmc processes. I assume it was some sort of database corruption.

It was the resolution. Changing Capture height to 640 did the trick. Worked with both admin password and operator password.

I noticed there is now an rpm package for Fedora 6 , but id does not include ffmpeg. Is there a way configure it to use ffmpeg, or do I have to install from source?

ok here is what I did
I removed the existing folders in /var/www/html/zm
then create new ones like ln -s /pathtodir/events events? ect..
and I have Options FollowSymLinks in my httpd.conf

Still does not work am I missing something?
