Playing with that script takes a bit of time to update it over to the new versions. When I get a completed version of the script, I can post what I have. right now, after a random number of events kicks off, the script stops functioning correctly citing shared memory issues. I haven't played with an...

Restart of Zoneminder notifications change suggestion

I have been playing and configuring with ZM a lot recently, and was thinking it would be nice if the javascript popups would also set something to remind you that a restart is needed, and follows through on all the config pages, and maybe at the top of the main page as well. Also having a marking as...

I didn't close this out, but I did find a work around for this. Use CentOS 5. My Camara's worked perfectly after that (until I got a better card that the system was too slow for, then I upgraded hardware... and the AJAX bug in 1.24.1, I fixed that by going to 1.24.2) and everything is working perfec...

Extremely low FPS on version 1.24.1

I am working on a CentOS 5.2 system that is running a PV-183 CCTV card from BlueCherry, which is showing increased oddities over the old 4 port single chip BT878 card (4 ports spanned across one chip) which shows the monitor, Cycle and montage FPS as going from 20FPS to showing this: State: Idle - -...

Periodic White Flash

Ok, so I have the fun issue of a very nicely working ZM setup finally, but there is only one thing I need fixed, and for the life of me I can't figure out what is up with it. What my Camera's are doing is periodically going all white and fading back out again All of these events (and yes, they do cr...

I have made progress getting this to compile (Stuckon V4L errors, and looking for the items I need to get the system ready, and have the missing headers) Problems I have noticed that have gotten me confused with compiling this is when I specify path's to libraries, in this case, ffmpeg, it seems tha...

Nuck, That was my logic, I set up, tested, and got running a CentOS5 1.23.3 version of Zoneminder as a test (To make sure I knew, and had all of the little things that need to build a stable ZM) and am planning on running a 1.24 build here in the next 24 hours, hopefully with the success I had just ...

Ok, I got the liveDVD downloaded, and I have hit a wall, rather hard. To do some of the admin stuff, I need the passwords, and I have no clue what they would be for this. Outside of that, and the lagged black screen of mystery on boot, it is looking good.

Yes, I cleaned and re-ran the config a few times, even removed the source directory and unpacked the RC tar file again (ZoneMinder-1.24.0-rc1-2734.tar.gz) and re-ran it a few times. I also tested a few items, it seems that it is dying on linking, when I run it manually and add in the -c flag in the ...

ok, so I ran a git on the svn to get the latest ffmpeg (after erasing the rpm, and making sure it was gone) I compiled and installed the SVN version of ffmpeg and now I am getting: make all-recursive make[1]: Entering directory `/root/ZoneMinder-1.24.0' Making all in src make[2]: Entering directory ...

I need to note a correction, the last code snippet in my first post was after attempting a quick fix to locate the correct header file, but it also failed. I guess that is what happens when you don't know C++ well. Here is the original unmodified re-run with the correct paramenters Thu Jan 29-13:31:...

Problems compiling 1.24 on Fedora 9

I have spent the better part of the morning hand feeding my dev system the proper pre-reqs for the new zoneminder, since I want to have a good look at what is in the pipe. After I get the configure to run smoothly with no errors I get this error when doing a make, or make check, and it isn't able to...

Solved (mostly)

Ok, after a lot of research on the system, and a lot of working with the LiveCD, I have figured that it is the Operating system itself that I am using. Fedrora on this hardware combination just doesn't play well. This isn't the first "Doesn't play well with others" issue I have run into wi...
