The zone for the camera was not correct, so I deleted the old Zone and created a new one with default setup.

Hi all has this issue been solved? I have a number of Foscam Cams. The old one I use the method that you are showing, but the new Foscam Cams is setup with ffmpeg, and that works very nice. I'm using Ffmpeg and rtsp to process pictures.

Hi kryptic as many cameras are made with H.264 I would not recommend Ubuntu as it is having issues with Ffmpeg that is used with H.264. If you have just started, you can think about CentOS. I made .mov files and put them on USB and CD. That did the trick. They where used as technical evidence, and with good effect.
