Re: How to deal with large light changes?

What's the problem you're trying to solve? Is it an issue for you having these false positives?

Re: %EL% is for Time what is the variable for Date?

Looking at the source suggests there isn't an explicit 'date' variable. Is it definitely not also included when asking for the 'time'? (I'm guessing not otherwise you probably wouldn't have asked but thought it worth double-checking in case you'd just assumed!)

Re: GUI always reporting run state as 'STOPPED'

Thanks to Issac and his replies to my bug report this has now been fixed. It was down to me having ZM_PATH_SOCKS specified twice and, specifically, that the second value of /tmp/zm was overwriting the /var/run/zm value that it'd should've been. Removing the erroneous setting restored proper GUI beha...

Re: HTTP AUTH no longer working following upgrade

Yeah, I think basic auth is completely broken in 1.34. Isaac mentioned it in slack yesterday. I don't use it, but he might be looking into fixing it now (if he hasn't fixed it already) Ah, okay! That's actually good news (for me) because I was at a complete loss as to how my Apache config could've ...

Re: HTTP AUTH no longer working following upgrade

I understand why you would like it to remain with basic auth. It always felt quite simple for me, and I've always been confident in its use (when used within HTTPS). As a temporary workaround I have disabled OPT_USE_AUTH in ZoneMinder and reenabled HTTP AUTH in Apache. This gives me the access cont...

Re: HTTP AUTH no longer working following upgrade

have you worked with AUTH_TYPE set to builtin? set AUTH_RELAY to hashed and supply a string for AUTH_HASH_SECRET remove the block AuthType Basic AuthName "ZoneMinder - Unauthorised Access Prohibited" AuthUserFile /home/mathew/NewtonNet/zmhtpasswds Require valid-user test and see if that w...

HTTP AUTH no longer working following upgrade

FIrstly, apologies for the 3rd consecutive post following my upgrade from v1.32.2 to v1.34.5 - they are not intended to be gripes, or at least not at ZoneMinder anyway! For years now (just gone 13!) I've been using HTTP basic authentication (sent through HTTPS) with Zoneminder and only now following...

Re: RTSP Streaming from ZoneMinder?

Great, thanks. Donation just made (a modest amount I'm sure - I had no idea about what amount helps - but hopefully the more that do so the more it adds up however small).

GUI always reporting run state as 'STOPPED'

I have just upgraded to 1.34.5 (from 1.32.3) and was expecting a suspected bug I reported to be resolved but it appears not to be the case. Specifically, as discussed previously the web GUI seems to always report the run state as 'STOPPED' even if it is actually running, as per the screenshot: Scree...

RTSP Streaming from ZoneMinder?

I currently use TinyCamMonitor on Android to view my Zoneminder monitors via JPEG/HTTP and the https://<source>/zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms?&mode=single&monitor=12[etc] source URL. The bandwidth required for such streaming is considerably higher than when I access the camera's H264 stream directly ov...

Re: Pattern over dark areas

Yes, it's definitely got a circuit board look to it.

I've contacted the seller and it's been passed to a technician for consideration.

Pattern over dark areas

I've just bought a 'covert' PIR-disguised IP camera for the princely sum of £35. Supposedly made by Revotech but you can never really tell these days. Wasn't expecting much but actually it really is quite impressive. Resolutions upto 2304x1296, RTSP streaming, invisible IR LEDs and highly configurab...

Re: zmEventRate changing to 1 and no event streaming

Yes, it's still in 1.32.3 but that's to be expected as bug fixes like this won't be retrospectively applied. The current development versions have fixed it and so this will pass through to the next release in due course.
