Re: v1.28.0->v1.28.1 upgrade issues

I was looking at McFuzz's workaround at http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=22937&start=15 I noticed how my previous installs (Ubuntu 14.04) have installed Base.pm in /usr/local/zm/share/perl/5.18.2/ZoneMinder whereas my attempt at installing 1.28.1 on an updated Ubuntu 14....

v1.28.0->v1.28.1 upgrade issues

The current source tarball (v1.28.1.tar.gz, md5sum e8b27b818e074e5739b2bad8c57671a1) will not upgrade my database to 1.28.1. /path/bin/zmupdate.pl (from 1.28.1) says my database is already at 1.28.0. There is an update sql in /buildpath/ZoneMinder-1.28.1/db/zm_update-1.28.1.sql: ALTER TABLE Monitors...

ZoneMinder broken when upgrading 1.26.4->1.26.5

The upgrade itself work out fine on a Debian 7.2 x64 system, starting the new build however fails spectacularly: 2013-12-14 01:01:03.134100 zmdc 620 ERR 'zmc -m 13' exited abnormally, exit status 30 zmdc.pl 2013-12-14 01:01:03.133730 zmdc 620 ERR 'zmc -m 12' exited abnormally, exit status 30 zmdc.pl...

Re: 1.26.4 Error while decoding frame errors

You'll get these if your ffmpeg-libs aren't up to the task. Maybe you compiled 1.26.4 with the wrong ffmpeg path or omitted some options?

Re: Destortion of RTSP/H.264 Stream Messing Up Modect

Same issue as in quite a few others threads on page 1+2. Usually occurs in low-light scenarios and with h264 sources through ffmpeg. You could switch the source to mjpeg (through ffmpeg) and that would solve the issue yet has its downsides. Actually I've tried that earlier already but it turned out...

Re: Build instructions for debian7 "wheezy" (amd64)

It would seem there is no libjpeg-turbo package for Debian wheezy. This becomes truly painful if you wish to have php5-gd installed for thumbnail generation; it depends in libjpeg8 which in turn fraks up the libjpeg-turbo workaround above. I can't seem to get h264 live streaming working with eyeZm, ...

Build instructions for debian7 "wheezy" (amd64)

I don't wanna be the "your ouput is flawed and I have no respect"-kinda guy, so I'm simply raising the question; anyone see the need for a quick guide on having 1.26x running on debian stable in no time? Lemme know and I'll spell out the steps with a really core debian x86/64 install. UPDA...

Re: Logitech 700 series

I am also able to report that the Alert-series from Logitech work fine with ZM. You will have to use ffmpeg as source (ZM RTSP fails with h.264 streams). Do *not* limit capture speed, setting this lower than 15fps will make the feed unstable (you can limit the alarm fps).

Modect or Mocord?

Hi, I have been running quite a few installation of ZM for several years and I am quite fond of it. I have been running all monitors in continuous "Record"-mode as I never found out how to make them record on motion-detection only without storing every single five-second event by itself. C...

The road ahead on the rise of mobile devices.

Releases have been less frequent lately. Just an observation, not critique. This is ment as a suggestion. Current functionality is great, although Web UI and exporting could be improved. How about providing such improved interaction through an official kick-ass app? A small fee for the extra interfa...

Re: Same image on both bttv-channels.

That did the trick, thanks. Seems the documentation is flawed, it explicitly states that only one of these options should be changed.
