Rate limit network cameras
I have a 3megapixel ip camera set to grab a image every few seconds. Normally this wouldn't be a problem however i send the images over a wireless link with other traffic also. The camera has a rate limiting feature however due to how bandwidth shaping works and how queues fill up it doesn't respond...

Ah, i was thinking beta firmware for the camera, not zoneminder 1.24. On a second note: How does Vivotek IP7142 compare with ACTi ACM-1231? From the little I've seen the acti has a impressive offering. Most of my setup's thus far have been recording at .3 to 1fps. So doing rtsp at those rates would ...

I am a little confused on this. So basically you guys are testing to see if direct mjpeg access is available yet, and rtsp is just for audio? I just want basic zone minder access without sound. It would be great to get confirmation on it, since its up in the air its the only reason i'm not buying th...

Thanks for the package. I thought i would do some testing, so i did install in vmware using a Debian etch, amd64 kernel, however i didn't want to go to the unstable package list. First step was to wget zoneminder_1.22.3-6_amd64.deb , then tried dpkg -i and got a few dependencies unresolved. Went thr...

I am planning a project with dual dual opteron 2.2ghz and 4-8gb of ram. Going to have up to 4 1.5gb arrays (500gb x4 raid 5). I have probably not looked into it as much as i should. I think with enough tuning and running as much as i can in memory cpu should be ok. This setup is going to have lots o...

Seagate SV35 - DVR Hard Drives
http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/consumer_electronics/sv35_series/ "Multiple data streams can be written at once, allowing you to link multiple cameras to the same drive." I was wondering if anyone has been using them, since they are targeted directly towards dvr's etc. Found a hd...

Firmware i will try. Not always a fun risking killing the unit. But seems the chance of that is low. The image quality on the 9100 seems a bit blurry and very washed out for me, even more so then mycal's. A bit more then i expected.. need some image and color processing. I know the camera is outputt...

I have ordered one of these. It looks like a good product. Sounds like they have improved the software and hardware earlier this year with version 2.37? mycal wanted to say thanks for making that script. I will let you know how it works. I assume you fixed that torn image issue, or is that a caused ...
