Re: Reolink RLC1212A Setup / Streams

The RLC-1212A has capability to support two-way audio as it has a microphone and speaker. Most likely you would need to use Reolink proprietary app or its NVR. I am not aware of how you could use the two way audio in ZoneMinder. You can configure the events to save both video and audio much like oth...

Re: How to mark Topic 'Solved'

Thanks for the reply, seems that there is no preference so I'll just mark the title for any issue that is resolved so folks can use it as a reference for later use if they encounter similar issues. Cheers!

Re: Newbie Configuration Help

Hi keet, good to hear the alarm is now being triggered only in the defined zones. Regarding issue #1 of linked monitor not being triggered, I checked my events and there are some missed on the linked monitors. I have 4 cameras and for the last week here are the number of events for the Main (which i...

Re: Burn in time/date to downloaded video

The easiest method to add timestamps on your video streams is to enable the TIMESTAMP_ON_CAPTURE option in the Config Menu. Another method to add timestamps to your video streams is to enable an overlay in your camera's fimrware if available. I am not aware of any current features of ZoneMinder that...

[SOLVED] How to mark Topic 'Solved'

I am somewhat new to this forum as well as phpBB and was wondering if there is a preferred or correct method to mark issues as solved once someone (or the summation of the previous replies) has provided the answer to the original issue being asked about? Checking through the various sections and top...

Re: Font size for timestamp

Agree with the request for making timestamp font height more clearly defined and possibly a proportion of the resolution. I use both Main and Sub streams from my cameras. Even on modern cameras the Sub stream can be very low resolution such as 640x360 pixels and this makes the timestamp too large fo...

Re: Newbie Configuration Help

Issue 2: Still not sure how this is even possible. I did re-read the documentation Zone section (maybe my 10th time since using ZoneMinder in the past 8 years). In the Region Points section it is noted that 'It is possible to accidentally place a control point outside of the valid coordinates of the...

Re: Reolink TrackMix PTZ now available, setup experience available?

I also recently purchased a PTZ camera, Reolink RLC-81PA. Actually it only has pan capability so not truly a full PTZ camera. But I have also concluded that PTZ is a useless feature for my home application for the exact reason you pointed out. Any zones that you setup are broken once you change the ...

Re: Newbie Configuration Help

Hi keet, great to know you have the most important item set correctly which is the linking of your Main stream (hi res) to Sub stream (low res) monitor to trigger events. I'll have to preface my comments by stating that there are literally 1000+ settings in ZoneMinder and your camera's firmware whic...

Re: Reolink TrackMix PTZ now available, setup experience available?

Hi jrf. BiloxiGeek posted some preliminary information about this camera and how to connect as ZM Monitor. Check this link in the ZoneMinder wiki and look for the Trackmix POE section.

Re: Newbie Configuration Help

Hi keet. Your issue from the description is that you have setup your monitors incorrectly. The low resolution sub stream should be set to 'Modect' and the high resolution main stream should be set to 'Nodect'. The high resolution monitor should also use Linked Monitors and list your sub stream. If y...

Re: Reolink RLC1212A Setup / Streams

Update on RLC-1212A. It turns out that the higher resolution main stream are h.265 encoded and not all browsers can support decoding. Firefox is not able to display the h.265 streams. I have set the main stream back to 2650x1440 which is h.264 encoded. This is used with camera passthrough so that ZM...

You can configure this in the Options -> Storage menu. Use the Path to enter the specific drive you want to save images to.

Re: Network setup advice

If your requirement is to isolate the cameras (including both wired AND wireless) then the simplest approach is to use virtual local area networks (VLAN). The DDWRT router is not necessary. In your network let's assume VLAN10 is the main network and VLAN20 is the camera network. The connection betwe...
