I just changed to "-14 days", for 14 days worth and I think it registered correctly this time.

I read the manual on filters today. I should have done that from the beginning. thanks for getting me started.

Re: "Constant record" storage and "motion only" storage

There's start and end date, time and date/time. They can be relative to "now" - so so something like end date > -7 would get over a week old. I think. You can specify a monitor, so maybe try it out on just one relatively unimportant monitor. This didn't work. specifying -7 doesn't go back...

Re: "Constant record" storage and "motion only" storage

You could just get a bigger drive - rust is really cheap now. But if you trust mocord you can write a filter to delete records with no motion after some period of hours or days. That's the thing. I'm just going to run mocord to all drives now, and purge only non-motion continuous events when the st...

thanks. I'm about to look at the purge when full filter so see if I can set something up like this with one monitor and keep the motion recordings longer.

"Constant record" storage and "motion only" storage

What is the best way to setup record/mocord to record to one drive and modect to record to another? I just want all my cameras to constantly record to one drive until full, and then also do motion recordings to a separate drive until full. Seems I must setup two monitors under the console. This will...

Re: Having Trouble While Installing This Software

Sound like you are trying to install this on windows. Although you can, its not as easy as clicking a button.

See: https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/st ... s_wsl.html

Instructions are not completely there and I've never done an install of ZM on Windows with WSL.

With my personal perception of uniformity and commonality, then applied to my understanding thus far: "Notes":null, #Null will not effect / Null is correct / WebGUI should be placing Null "ServerId":null, ##ServerId is a parameter used when setting up multiple ZoneMinder servers ...

Re: web_php and web_js errors - ex. socket_sendto etc. [SOLVED]

Understood. I'm getting familiar with everything ZM to prime myself for helping with development later. I'm making a list for myself as i grind through everything. I was thinking about creating a patch for myself to change the web errors to a different category and option to change the color. Light ...

Adding Monitors via Web Interface vs API - WebGUI differs from API Defaults

Hello again, I'm writing a script to configure ZM and ran across some things to note. I only wanted to send the basic amount of information through the api to setup a monitor like on the web interface. I determined these are the values most important for now: curl -XPOST http://localhost/zm/api/moni...

Re: socket_sendto Error

Okay, AI and I figured things out. ha I've learned web_php and web_js errors are on the client side. After rolling back zm server on a snapshot to before I added the monitors, I noticed I was getting these errors and more that had to do with things that weren't even setup. My browser was trying to t...

Re: Event playback issues - Fresh Install with PVE Container [SOLVED]

I also modified my conclusion. haha Until I test this out, my understanding is... since I have h264 cameras, its best to use "passthrough" for the "video writer". this issue would still exists if I had to keep "video writer" set to "disabled". I would have avo...
