So everything going well. Just added another camera and when i go to the 8hour button on the montage view it just shows a white screen with the address in the address bar. I just ended up downgrading back to 1.36.14 and everything went back to normal.

I might create another VM to test new releases prior to upgrading the main one.

So i just upgraded from 1.36.14 to 1.36.24 and when i go into the montage review it says no data in any history (but live view works). The logs shows the following... Thats a brilliant idea. I run mine in a VM so i think i will do the same. Thank you for the ideas and wonderful advice which will put my mind at ease, now i can implement an automated backup and also a test environment.

Just did a quick google for events and it just looks like a space thing and easy enough to configure should i wish to change event storage location.. Im thinking i could just use LuckyBackup and run it nightly to keep a couple of snapshots on a dedicated HDD.

Good afternoon, I have over a years worth of surveillance and i just had the scare of a lifetime when upgrading to 1.36.24 broke. I was able to downgrade then upgrade again and it magically worked. Excuse my ignorance, but is there a method to fully backup zoneminder with all the events and database...

Had problems with a monitor going stale with ubuntu under VM.

Switched to debian 11 with same config and all problems gone plus runs faster with less resources.

I used the following guide and it worked flawlessly...

switched to Debian 11 version and the problem seems to have resolved itself in the distribution change.

Everything also seems smoother and more responsive with Debian 11.
