[SOLVED] Re: No Route to Host
My (Tue Sep 12, 2023) problem is now resolved. It possibly was a transient hiccup on the zoneminder repository. It has nothing to do with the file sizes either, at least not in this directory. I don't know enough debian repository directory structure to make a judgement.

[SOLVED] Re: No Route to Host
With my Debian bookworm box, I do a sudo apt-get update as I usually do. However, I encounter a no route to host error. What seems to be odd is the file sizes in the directory concerned. Any idea is welcome. Ta Ign:6 https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/release-1.36 bookworm/ InRelease Ign:6 https:/...

Upgrading from 1.36.x to 1.36.33 on Debian
I had installed Zoneminder three years ago. I thank Isaac Connor and his team that it works so well. I have updated my installation for the first time to 1.36.33 this week. It is not much, but I hope my experience would help novices like me. It is based on one installation on one machine by one pers...

Re: [SOLVED] Re: DB errors in /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/ZoneMinder/Config.pm
Hi Magic919, Thank you very much for your input! However, zm_update-1.36.18.sql does not exist in the 1.36.17 version (for obvious reasons). So I first updated zoneminder-common (and zoneminder-httpd) and then applied the command. Since I’m not so fond of databases, let me first line up my steps: m...

Well done. Your post (and my reply) is decidedly a “Non-ZoneMinder Chat”.

Logging levels
Hi, there. I have v1.36.12 from the zmrepo. Just out of curiosity. I wonder why the default setting for LOG_LEVEL_SYSLOG is "Debug", which flooded /var/log/syslog

Re: Axis 223M
I have tried a lot. Perhaps if you will tell what have you tried. If I understand you correctly, you have installed Zoneminder correctly according to https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/stable/installationguide/index.html . What left to be done is camera settings https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Dummie...

Re: Axis 223M
I was told that most Axis cameras will work. I am quite new here but manage to get a couple of M3025-VE to work with relative ease. Perhaps, if you will tell us where you got stuck. Below please find a manual for your camera. All required information might well be in there. https://www.axis.com/file...

Cantonese translation (was: Re: Translation Help Wanted!!)
I am really so sorry. I worked on a Cantonese translation for a bit and thought that I would have finished it at some point. However, I didn't really have enough time in the last few months. Here is an half-baked version of zh_hk.php. It might still be usable.

Re: Thank you and zone sensitivity
If the recording can't keep up, lower FPS and resolution (on the camera - not ZM) until it is stable . With my setup, I'm mildly disappointed that capture and analysis rates are quite low comparing to my unfounded expectations before getting my gears. i5-6500T CPU @ 2.50GHz RAM: 8GB Number of camer...

A possible bug with Event ID > Replay > All Events
Hi, I am new to Zoneminder (v1.34.20) and I have encountered an issue. Either I don't know how it works or it might be a bug. After clicking an Event ID > Replay > All Events or an Event Name > ... , one event is played, then a blank screen is shown with a countdown clock for a suitable length of ti...

Re: Translation Help Wanted!!
Probably. Please head up this effort. Sure. I have a few partially updated and working "zh_ xx .php"s on a pre-production box. Yes, it is "zh_ xx .php" with the correct locale naming conversion. Zoneminder just picks them in up straight away. Amazing! Thank you and folks for mak...

A trivial error on the Web GUI — missing item across the top menu bar
For an unprivileged user with the following settings, "Console" is missing from the menu bar at the top. Nevertheless, one still can access it by passing no parameters to index.php. (Enabled, Stream, Events, Control, Monitors, Groups, System) = (Yes, View, View, None, None, None, None); An...
