Re: How to reset password?

Thanks, although I'd point out that in my case, it wasn't even that I'd forgotten the password, but that if you upgrade past mysql 8.0.11 I'm not sure if you can log in at all, or how to actually get a functional password. Even blanking it didn't seem to work. MariaDB works fine, even the latest ver...

Eoan PPA builds?

Any ideas when the Eoan PPA builds will be working? I'm currently running builds from source but it would be nice to be able to upgrade with a simple apt.

Re: The user specified as a definer ('debian-sys-maint'@'localhost') does not exist

So, it seems zoneminder was pulling debian-sys-maint@localhost from the definer for the triggers under zones and events in the SQL database. I changed it to zmuser@localhost and now it's working fine. For whoever next has this issue, hopefully you don't have to grep a string on your whole hard drive...

Sorry to zombie this but I'm having the exact same problem. Where is zmstats.pl pulling the debian-sys-maint user from?

Re: How to reset password?

So in the end it had nothing to do with passwords really, I dumped the DB and switched over to MariaDB instead of mysql 8 and now it's working.

Re: How to reset password?

So.. this mostly seems to be a problem after upgrading from mysql 5.7 to mysql 8 (since ubuntu 19.10 doesn't have a 5.7 package). Is there any known way to get login working after upgrading to mysql 8?

Re: How to reset password?

Also, the password hash before I blanked it was "*4ACFE3202A5FF5CF467898FC58AAB1D615029441" which from some googling is the hash for "admin" which is what the password was. It's also a very old mysql PASSWORD function hash, which is why it probably wasn't working post-upgrade. I still need a way of ...

How to reset password?

I updated my system and Zoneminder wouldn't let me log in, so I tried blanking the admin password from phpmyadmin as everyone on the internet says to do, but I still can't log in, since Zoneminder won't let you log in with a blank password anymore (I get "please fill out this field" on the password ...

Re: Problem with video "tracking"

Sooo. Never mind, I'm an idiot. In case someone else has this issue it happens when you leave your video standard as default or undefined instead of setting it to ntsc.

Problem with video "tracking"

I have a Hauppage 64900 that is working fine in Linux except for the fact that the "tracking" or vertical sync is off. The image is cut off on the top and the top is moved down to the bottom, like old school VCRs would do when your tracking was off. Any ideas on how to fix it? vlcsnap-2019-11-23-00h...

Disk Space, Disk Blocks, Disk Percent?

Hey I'd like to limit my recorded footage to 300gb, regardless of how much space there is free on the drive. So disk percent doesn't really work for what I need to do. Will either Disk Blocks or Disk Space do that, or do they just look at how much free space there is on the drive also? Also, what do...
