Socket /var/run/zm/zms-813930s.sock

I'm getting the following error messages in my apache 2 error log. Can anyone please assist me? all monitors are working and displaying video in the montage. This server is running 1.33.15 I made sure CGI is enabled. I have no idea how to check if the PATH_ZMS is set correctly, but I don't think I w...

Re: Axis 233D PTZ control

Yes, its a multi port, single server set up. How stable is 1.33.15? This is more or less a production server (as close as it gets on this budget anyway) with over 110 monitors. Just updating the database from 1.32.3 to 1.33.15 could take days, if it goes off with out a problem. How hard is it to fix...

Re: Setup/Configuration Issue - Live View Localhost, not on others

The documentation for Zoneminder 1.32.3 says to use the 16.04 version of Ubuntu / Xbuntu, I know some people have gotten 18.04 to work, but I think its a use at your own risk type of thing. Do you have a 2nd zone minder server? is that why you added another server in the servers tab? I'm pretty sure...

Re: Help with configuration of ULAR Q5

Try configuring the monitor with a source type of "FFMPEG" instead of "Remote" then enter your RTSP URL in the source tab. When you are using the RTSP you use the FFMPEG source type. Also make sure that you enter the correct width / height on the source tab. Open your RTSP stream in VLC and examine ...

Re: Axis 233D PTZ control

So when I open up the console on my browser and click on one of the PTZ control arrows I get these messages in the console output [Error] Origin https://zm.mydoamin.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. [Error] XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://zm.mydoamin.com:30107/zm/index.php?view=r...

Re: Axis 233D PTZ control

So I kind of got this working. I had to adjust my firewall settings on my router to allow the PTZ commands from the zone minder server to get to the cameras. I'm able to control the cameras if I use ZMNinja, but not from the webconsole. So the cameras are controllable via API calls but not via how e...

Re: Error getting new camera working - Reolink

maybe check your resources with htop while Zoneminder is running. That should give you an idea of if you system is over loaded or not.

Re: Axis 233D PTZ control

If it was necessary to request control of the camera, I don't think sending the commands to the camera via cURL would work. Also from the packet capture I ran Zoneminder is not actually sending the commands to the camera. I made sure the Ubuntu UFW was switched off for testing. Other than that I'm n...

Re: Axis 233D PTZ control

Ive added two more Axis PTZ cams to Zoneminder, the Axis V2 script doesn't work with either of them. I've seen posts where people were able to use the "web" monitor to allow direct interaction with the cameras PTZ functions. But when I've tried this Zoneminder just changes the monitor type to remote...

Axis 233D PTZ control

I'm trying to get Zoneminder set up to control an Axis 223D PTZ camera. I was able to get the video feed off the camera just fine using RTSP, but I'm unable to get Zoneminder to PTZ control the thing using the Axis API V2 script. If I open up a terminal on my Zoneminder server and copy commands out ...

Re: Make ZoneMinder accessible at "zm.mydomain.com"?

I'm using h264 passthrough, and I've got JPEGs disabled, so there are no stills to look at, unless I'm missing something.

Yes the montage and live view work.

Logs look normal. I'm only getting INF messages with debugging switched on.

Multi-Port Port Generation Script

I created a python script to automatically generate the entries you need to add to your ports.conf and virtual host file to enable multi port. I have 76 monitors at one site and I screwed up the entires I needed to make in the ports.conf and virtual hosts file to configure multi-port so many times t...

Re: Make ZoneMinder accessible at "zm.mydomain.com"?

If I edit my /etc/apache2/conf-available/zoneminder.conf so it looks like this: # Order matters. This alias must come first. #Alias /zm/cache /var/cache/zoneminder/cache Alias /zm/cache /usr/share/zoneminder/www/cache #<Directory /var/cache/zoneminder/cache> <Directory /usr/share/zoneminder/www/cach...
