After a lot of testing, it seems to be the pass-through videos that have this issue, but not the encoded ones.

Is there some way that the metadata for the mp4 container gets altered?

Be sure you have the necessary library installed to encode aac. Perhaps enable debug logs to check for any error messages from ffmpeg?

I thought I wiped everything out though. How did you stop it from removing things? It has been days now.

I'm also seeing strange things with regards to the monitors stopping once in alarm mode, perhaps to do with a zone overlap or an inclusive zone.

Events remain, but the files backing the events are missing. I've checked the disk and they are certainly not there, but worked when they occurred. Any hints on what is going on?
