I don't know a solution to your problem, but I'm using a Raspberry Pi as camera aswell, and I use UV4L RaspiCam to stream it to my server. It can stream in h264 and works without any problems.

The restart issue has returned in the latest master and storageareas ppa.

I'm using 1.31.44 from the master ppa and I don't have the restart issue anymore.

We should have a subforum for these kind of videos. Lol

Edit the alarm field or set a higher number of alarm frames in the buffers tab in your monitor's settings

Isn't it %N? That's the name switch in my timestamps tab in monitor configurations.

Perfect, after changing the reversing zoneminder.conf as per above orientation the system ran perfectly with the correct layout and all the functions working. One note, if we do a clean installation direct to StorageAreas I no longer need to mess with PATH_ZMS. There is no longer any need to change...
