Re: Need help reinstallimg mariaB on Debian

Yes, exactly, Debian Sid is unstable, in which case I decided to not spend a lot of time trying to do anything more with the database. For all I know there are/were underlying system libraries that were causing conflicts. I have plenty of system resources (I WAY over-spec'd my hardware), so probably...

Re: Segfault with zmeventnotification

It works fine, even under ZM 1.30.4. I am not, however, running the detection bits, just push notifications (and no images- although I don't claim to be the definitive source, I don' believe this function will work with a ZM version older than 1.32. I went by the installation documentation (tip of t...

Re: Trying to get zmeventnotification working with ZM 1.30.4 and Debian Stretch

Thanks for the response! There's so many different bits in this entire system. It can be a bit daunting. I'm kind of a masochist, so I tend to readily get myself in over my head, but I try to learn in the process. Not that I needed it, but, and it says so in the code, I wasn't able to get an index i...

Re: Need help reinstallimg mariaB on Debian

Wow, a blast from the past! I bailed on ZM 1.32.3 and Debian Sid as it proved too unstable: back to running ZM 1.30.4 on Debian Stretch. I did, however, get things working, though kept getting database crashes; so, this combination, IMO, is not ready for prime time (and I would discourage others fro...

Re: Trying to get zmeventnotification working with ZM 1.30.4 and Debian Stretch

Awesome, that did the trick. Thanks! Curious, I thought that this WAS supposed to be using web sockets. It's using FCM? I'm totally not up on any of this though. Oh! I have verified that alerts (push notifications) DO come through when zmNinja is backgrounded. Bottom line: All is working as well as ...

Trying to get zmeventnotification working with ZM 1.30.4 and Debian Stretch

I'm trying to get just simple push notifications (w/o hooks) working under ZM 1.30.4 on Debian Stretch. (had it, along with hooks, working under ZM 1.32.3 on Debian Sid [overall system was unstable so I reverted back]) As far as I can tell everything seems set up OK, but it's not working. Using conf...

Re: Segfault with zmeventnotification

Great work can you please share some information Zoneminder version are you using Debian what procedure did you use for the Push notification I had been running ZM 1.32.3 and Debian Sid but it was too unstable (nothing to do with zmeventnotification and or the AI bits). I have reverted back to ZM 1...

Re: Moving to Buster (Debian Testing)?

Still, I would not be in a hurry to upgrade a critical ZM server that is running well. We will likely be testing once Buster is in Beta so the WIKI can be updated. I totally concur. I drove forward with ZM 1.32.3 and Debian Sid and ended up with lots of problems (database corruptions). I since have...

Re: AI hooks working for anyone running 1.30.4 and Debian 9?

Appreciate the replies. As there are no newer production releases of ZM than 1.30.4 and because newer non-production versions of ZM (I can only speak to 1.32.3) are not stable under Debian (due to requiring running development branch of Debian- Sid) I have little choice than to continue to run ZM 1....

AI hooks working for anyone running 1.30.4 and Debian 9?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has successfully gotten zmeventserver and the yolo3 hook(s) working with ZM 1.30.4 and Debian Stretch. I had push notifications and AI detection stuff working really well on ZM 1.34.3 and Debian Sid, but the combination of ZM 1.34.3 and Debian Sid was just too unstab...

Re: Is ZoneMinder good for securing/rebroadcasting RTSP streams?

I'm running two networks, one for only cams and that connects up to my wired ethernet port using a local IP network (gigabit hub), and a wireless interface which connects up to my router's DMZ (different building) which gives me WAN access to the cameras (web or ZMninja). I have nothing else on the ...

Re: 1.30.04-> 1.32.3 Ubuntu 18.04: "Upgrade", or de-install re-install?

I'm running Debian (have to upgrade to the development fork, "sid, to rn ZM 1.32") and after numerous stability problems I can say that I wish that I'd never tried 1.32. Right now I have NO system because I have zero confidence that it can be stable (I'm on my third system rebuild and am just burned...

New install on Debian, question

After dealing with numerous problems I've decided once again to do a fresh install of everything. I am not sure if my problems to-date have been due to running bits from Debian sid, so before I continue with the install of ZM I'd like to get some clarification. Using https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debi...

Re: Unable to connect to Logs table

Dropping and recreating the Logs table and, for now, things seem to be working as expected.

Interesting is that removing the innoDB log file allowed zm to start, but I was only getting one of my four cameras to come up (stream) and nothing was showing in the zm logs.

Re: Database upgrade fails

I ended up dropping the Logs table and recreating (using code from zm DB create script).
