Re: High Resolution Cameras and Modect
Yes you are right. When hires monitor is triggered, it records, but no info regarding detection is transferred from triggering device (logicaly). If you need info regarding triggers (points, group of points blobs or else) do not delete lowres events. I think, those are needed only for fine tuning of...

Re: High Resolution Cameras and Modect
Hi! For a speed of motion detection and offload of the server I would suggest you, to create another monitor. The same camera but low resolution stream. As per documentation: create zones on low stream monitor function = "modect", high resolution monitor function = "nodect" and l...

Re: Service restart required when making changes to zones or modes
Hi Hnnniggett! Thank you for a large reply, regarding you have a very little time here, as you are a developer of this excellent piece of software. I'm just a long time Slackware user. As of that, I wanted to setup Zoneminder in it. Last package for a Slackware was 1.27, so I found a package maintai...

Re: Service restart required when making changes to zones or modes
Hi again! My zoneminder www root is /srv/httpd/htdocs/zm as defined at compile time variable DOCROOT. Actually /srv/http points to /var/www and real zoneminder root is /var/www/htdocs/zm and there is events folder (real, not symlink). So when DIR_EVENTS points to /srv/httpd/htdocs/zm/events there is...

Re: Service restart required when making changes to zones or modes
Hi knnniggett! Thank you very much for your help an clarification. You were right about events folder. When I specify full path to it in ZM configuration (DIR_EVENTS) instead of relative, the disk space error disappear and space percentage is correct. So as you suggested, I have to find place, where...

Re: Service restart required when making changes to zones or modes
Hi! Thank you knnniggett. I can confirm that mode change problem is solved. :D :D Today I installed ZM grom git on Slackware64-14.2 and mode change works as expected. But there is still error log from 1.30.0 and up: disk_total_space returned false. Verify the web account user has access to events /v...

Re: ZoneMinder 1.30.2 Release Candidate 1 Available for Testing
Two weeks passed. With all respect to developers, I expected a reply to deny/confirm the above, as monitor change state problem in 1.30.2 was noted by other users too. Above post mentioned Ubuntu, so this is not a Linux Slackware issue. As I noted, I am willing to help with debug/search/solve the is...

Re: ZoneMinder 1.30.2 Release Candidate 1 Available for Testing
Hi! Gene Baxter <GenoBob@gmail.com> was so kind to prepare scripts for creating ZoneMinder-1.30.x packages for Slackware-14.2 from sources. The scripts works excellent, they were published on https://slackbuilds.org/ ZoneMinder-1.30.0 works excellent. I tested all functionalities. The only (known) f...

Re: IR camera and fog
Here is spring right now. The cameras catches some moths during the night mode with IR lights. I append the original size photo from the second camera. It catched a "flying spring". Looks artifical to me. The camera is set at 10 photos /second, and there were 3 with that spring. All are th...

Re: prevent "signal" to create event
Thank you Knniggett! But the origin of my question is in Zoneminder misbehavior - or my false understanding of monitor functions. Explanation: Camera have two streams. The low one (VGA quality) is in "modect" function, all works as expected, with more active and preclusive zonees. The high...

Re: Tiandy TC-NC9501S3E-4MP-E-I2
Hi! I setup lower than declared maximum resolution for the main stream 2048 X 1536 (instead 2560 X1440). Testing now for 5 days and works perfect - no signal loss. I'm satisfied, as the camera was not expensive, and this resolution is enough, as it is for close looking - less than 6m. The case can b...

Re: prevent "signal" to create event
Thank you Rockedge! I already setup ZM to delete lowres events older than hour. Thought about feature "ignore Signal lost" - do not even trigger events. This would prevent unneeded server load, recordings.. I would name this pre event filter - before recording occur. Looks like this is not...
