Re: onmousedown and onmouseup implementation in control scripts

I think on mobile it uses a different action called ontouch The handheld controls appears to be a fairly easy fix. Everywhere there is a "onmousedown" there needs to be also a "ontouchstart", and everywhere there is a "onmouseup" there needs to be also a "ontouchend". So, for example, in the CSS fo...

Re: New Amcrest firmware breaks PTZ

So I will answer my own question. Basically, I am stupid. I had the wrong value in the "control device" field which TCG setup to be the device serial number. Fixed that, and all is right with the world again....

Re: New Amcrest firmware breaks PTZ

So I installed a new Amcrest IP2M-853EW purchased a few weeks ago on my NW. I basically copied the existing working monitor from the IP2M-853EW camera purchased and installed last fall (2018). The new camera video works, but the ZM PTZ control fails with following in the ZM log: Camera control comma...

Re: Suitable hardware ?

Ideally I'd like a way of sending an sms if power is lost (my alarm system has this function) Nearly any system that can send email can send SMS. All of the major vendors of SMS services have email gateways - Verizon's for example, is 10-digit-phone-number@vtext.com If you use another service, try ...

Re: New Amcrest firmware breaks PTZ

However, due to the disaster of Amcrest support, the company I work for has returned all of the Amcrest equipment, and we're going back with Dahua which we have verified that we can get good, solid US based support for. Chris Might want to suggest that the company you work for do a bit of research ...

Re: Instant notification on alarm + machine learning object detection

Sure, I'd be honored! What did you have in mind, though, integrating it into ZoneMinder itself in some way, or as a separate script the way it is now? I would like for it to be a maintained part of Zoneminder which could be enabled or disabled as desired. In many installs, I believe that the Zonemi...

Re: Instant notification on alarm

The code is here - feel free to give it a try if so inclined: https://github.com/montagdude/zoneminder-notifier I am looking at your zoneminder-notifier. I would like very much to implement it on my ZM install. I have a some questions.... 1 - The readme says "ZoneMinder with API enabled (tested wit...

Re: problem with camera switching back and forth to night vision

Another option is a hardware motion detector using ZMTrigger and setting the camera to nodect, but this requires more install time. (Link: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/ZMTrigger.) This is where I have gone. The ZM motion detection based on video analysis is, in my experience, simply too false-alarmy...

Re: New Amcrest firmware breaks PTZ

When working with the PHP controls code I ran into some of these issues, but all of mine were the result of my control script having something like "Downright" when the CSS displayed used "DownRight" as the action.

Re: Basic C# API Interface

Yeah, thats what i'm trying now. but i'm stuck in the first try already. i try to get monitors using remote PC to the zm server, but it returns "Page Not Found" like this : I would look first to the zoneminder configuration, and make sure the API is enabled. Console, options, system, enable zonemin...

Re: video export seems worse quality than watching footage?

The video flashes green in the default Windows media player on W10, but VLC plays it correctly! Go figure. Micro$oft strikes again.

Your solution works, I get a very nice high-res video. Thank you!!

Re: video export seems worse quality than watching footage?

@alabamatoy -- those *are* the settings from ZoneMinder :) (Look under the FFMPEG_OPTIONS settings): Thank you, I am starting to understand. I tried that setting string, and the result is a huge video file (yeah, I know, better graphics means bigger file) but it is just a frame or two then half the...

I use :-
Can these settings be implemented within ZM somehow? It would be nice to use the existing alarm interface to produce a useful high-res video when needed. O/W we gotta homebrew something to the same function.

Re: video export seems worse quality than watching footage?

I would like to know the answer to this as well. The exported video seems horrible quality compared to the streamed images. Are there ffmpeg options that can improve this?

Re: Alarm Mode - Use Static JPG and ZMTrigger as alarm only

Well...its been a while. I have this working, if anyone is interested. Basic design: 1 - Guardline PIR motion sensors . These things seem to work very well. I havent had a false positive yet. It will detect dogs and deer and people, but no squirrels yet. Cars are very easy, they are HOT. 2 - I used ...
