Re: image access & streaming not working when remote

The very helpful developer of zmninja found the issue that was causing this. Turns out the server setting that I had applied for each camera was causing this to not work. Dont fully understand how or why yet but changing this back to none allowed all images/streams to work properly. I do have 2 serv...

image access & streaming not working when remote

I am having issues getting access to my images/streaming when not on my network. I use the zmninja app on both my iphone and droid tablet. This remote access used to work a few months ago. I have changed several things since then and am not sure what broke this functionality. - moved from Ubuntu 14 ...

Re: Remote source with type RTSP and auth

Thanks for the info and confirmation of what i thought was the case. I am able to connect to the camera with ONVIF Device Manager. Using exact same string as in VLC...interestingly enough the URL/MRL that ONVIF DM users to display video is different than the one I discovered with wireshark and diffe...

Re: Remote source with type RTSP and auth

To add more info to this issue: I have just confirmed that I can open the stream successfully with VLC using this URL: rtsp://admin:12345@10.10.2.208:554/ISAPI/streaming/channels/101/trackID=1 I am not sure if the fact that these same parameters do not work in zoneminder indicate that the device is ...

Remote source with type RTSP and auth

I have a new TMEZON 1/2.5" 2.0 Mega Pixel that I am trying to get to work with my zoneminder 1.29.0 system. Most of my other cams are Dahua IP cams and working great. Of course, this camera did not come with any docs to explain what the RTSP URL should be. I was able to find it using wireshark ...

Re: Inadvertant upgrade from 1.28 to 1.29 now socket_sendto issue

the other thing that I have discovered that seems to cause this socket error is if you have another browser window open on a session that is no longer valid. closing that browser window stops the messages from appearing in the logs...at least I have seen this a couple times in my environment.

Re: Inadvertant upgrade from 1.28 to 1.29 now socket_sendto issue

I found that in the docs and tried that. It did not work. I did the following to fix: apt-get remove zoneminder apt-get install zoneminder then followed the steps outlined in the doc "...the easy way..." and it worked. I am sure there was a more elegant way but I seemingly tried everything...

Inadvertant upgrade from 1.28 to 1.29 now socket_sendto issue

I hesitate to post this question because I feel I am missing something very basic...but after spending hours searching I am saying 'uncle' and asking for help... My system was functional and had been running for a few months now with no issue. This morning I ran apt-get dist-upgrade and both apache ...
