Re: timezone settings

You wouldn't have run windows on that, would you? Otherwise, what's in options -> timezone? Probably LA, but... Screen Shot 2022-04-05 at 10.25.21 PM.png That should be the same value I mentioned above when I ran this on the sql server: select Value from Config where Name= "ZM_TIMEZONE"; ...

timezone settings

Not sure what I broke -- recent recordings in the events folder are showing what I think is UTC dates, while zm expects to find the recordings using the timezone I've got configured. Error: Event was not found at /var/cache/zoneminder/events/5/2022-04-03/101303. It is unlikely that playback will be ...

Complex password not usable?

Hi, I recently updated the passwords on some of my cameras using a password manager that makes nice and complex strings, however when I attempt to use it in zm (rtmp://username:password@ip.address), I'm being told I need to url encode because the path is invalid. However urlencoding the passwords re...

Re: Annke C800 4K

I just picked one of these up and it's working fine with ZM. There's a couple of settings to do on the camera to start: The camera doesn't come with DHCP enabled, so you'll need to figure out what its ip address is to get to the GUI. You can enable dhcp once you're in. This was my initial starting p...

Can't locate ZoneMinder/Control/onvif in @INC

Hi! Re: How to DOWNGRADE 1.32 database to 1.30.4?

I just had to do this myself. I solve the problem in a slightly different way... I ran zmupdate.pl it "upgraded" from 1.32 to 1.30. :) [root@zoneminder db]# zmupdate.pl Use of uninitialized value $Config{"ZM_DIR_EVENTS"} in pattern match (m//) at /usr/bin/zmupdate.pl line 81. Use...

No log entries?

Ever since upgrading to 1.320.20180206gitga177d8e9.el7.centos, I've had an occasional problem where I'll find that zoneminder has "stopped." A quick "start" and everything is back to normal again. Today, I had some time to investigate, but found that when I click the "log&qu...

Re: How current is zmrepo-centos-testing?

Cool trick -- I saw a date in there, but thought that could also be the build date. I didn't know I could look for the hash. I've noticed that others here sometimes refer to versions like .34 or .37 -- but I don't see any branches or tags in git. Where do I find where these versions tie back to git?

How current is zmrepo-centos-testing?

How current is the rpm file provided from zmrepo-centos-testing? The version info suggests it's far behind, but the build date is fairly recent: Name : zoneminder Version : 1.31.1 Release : 1.320.20180206gitga177d8e9.el7.centos Architecture: x86_64 Install Date: Mon 19 Feb 2018 11:03:52 PM PST Group...

Quick n dirty way to clone zones...

I just used the gui clone feature to clone a pre-existing monitor but noticed that the clone doesn't clone the zones alone with it. Is there any way to export and import the zones of a monitor from one to another? I looked at zmcamtool.pl, but that doesn't do this type of thing.

Re: Can't see my cam video but can record it?

Milesnz, From /zm/index.php, click on Log Leave that window open, and then try to view a monitor. Do any recent log entries appear? Anything that might help clue you into what may be happening? Also, so that others here can get a bigger picture, please do the following: From /zm/index.php, click on ...

Re: Time gap occurring when alarm triggers...

The short answer to your question about time gaps is that you don't have all your motion zones sensitive enough to catch the jogger. However, what you will likely find is that, if you actually did set all the zones to be sensitive enough to pick up the jogger (joggers feet), you will likely also pi...

Until I do more testing, I'm going to assume this has something to do with the size of the jpg images, and, perhaps, storage throughput issues.

Re: Where to change ZM memory usage above 50%?

Good idea. I get the same 404 error though. I'm not sure why that button does not work. Try doing that from our main github site because that is where the files live: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/tree/master/docs Knnniggett, From the README.md file: "The latest version of these doc...
