Re: Is ARM64 no longer supported?

I run 1.37 in production, but in a virtual machine. One of the updates stopped some of my cameras from working, so I rolled back to a snapshot. VMs make it easy.

Re: Coming back to Zoneminder

ZM can do camera passthrough when saving video files, so no recompressing. H264 is the way to go, since no browsers (except Safari) can playback H265. H264 is fine. I've been using H265 with the current NVR. That's the only reason I mention it. How do you make Zoneminder use passthrough only? Last ...

Re: Montage view "choppy"

I don't have a Log menu item any more (weird) but if I set the URL to view=log I get my logs. There's only a handful of zmtelemetry warnings in there.

Re: Montage view "choppy"

ImageBufferCount is at 5 and MaxImageBufferCount is 150. I can't set key frames in this camera, and I don't know what they are. It's an Amcrest 1080P doorbell cam.

Re: Montage view "choppy"

Still stutters with 3 cameras in display. I went back to 1.36 to confirm there was no stutter there (the joy of virtual machines), and interestingly, it stuttered as well... but not all the time. So, I shutdown the 1.36 VM, leaving just the 1.37 VM running, and the stutter was still there, though le...

Re: Montage view "choppy"

I have six cameras in view, on multiport. Waiting for some traffic to see if it still stutters with 3 cameras.

The cameras are high resolution, but I tell Zoneminder the capture resolution is 640x360, so montage is low-res (resized) video.

Re: Montage view "choppy"

iconnor wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:56 pm Do you mean montage or montage review? Because you used the word playback, it's not clear.

There should be no difference in montage.. but there is lots of work going on in montage review.
Montage. I never actually use Montage Review.

Re: Montage view "choppy"

There are some pretty big differences between the two. If you upgraded a clone of your 1.36, it should be OK, but if you restored your setup to 1.37, you may need to run zmupdate.pl on the 1.37. Won't hurt to run it anyway. I did an upgrade from 1.36, and zmupdate.pl tells me the DB is at the lates...

Montage view "choppy"

I essentially moved my 1.36 to 1.37, which no changes in the configs. Under 1.37, the montage playback is choppy. I can run my 1.36 side-by-side with 1.37, and see the differences. Does anyone else have the same issue, or is it my setup? I've tried Janus to see if the issue goes away, but I just can...

Re: API not working in 1.37.47

Function is gone in 1.37. Use individual settings Capturing, Analysing, Recording, etc. So turn off motion detection, set Analysing=None instead of Always. Perfect, thank you! I figured I was missing something simple. For those looking later, this turns off my motion detection recording: /usr/bin/c...

API not working in 1.37.47

I did a quick search, but could find anything that related to this. I just upgraded a system from 1.36.33 to 1.37.47 using iconnor's master repo on Ubuntu 22.04.03. It was a clean upgrade, as far as I could tell. I use the API to turn cameras to and from modect and monitor. It doesn't seem to work i...

Re: Linked cameras sometimes not working

Please update. Current version should not complain about mismatch and should also auto-detect the reorder queue size. I'm working on a separate setting for live view size vs motion detection size so that you can still have full res live view. Should free up even more ram/cpu. I'm not seeing an upda...

So one thing I've noticed, I'm getting a ton of these warnings now: 11/11/23, 11:21:31 PM CST zmc_m7 184886 WAR pkt.dts(18552600) must be <= pkt.pts(18544230).Decompression must happen before presentation. zm_videostore.cpp 1409 11/11/23, 11:21:31 PM CST zmc_m7 184886 WAR non increasing dts, fixing...

Re: Linked cameras sometimes not working

I no longer used linked monitors... they were too flakey. What I do now is I monitor the high res stream, but I tell Zoneminder it's low res. So, my camera is 1080P or more, in the Source settings I tell Zoneminder it's 640x360. Zoneminder automatically resizes and does detection on the low res imag...
