Re: Install on a virtual server in internet?

Hello dear zoneminders, thanks fpr your replies. I have installed an AVM switchable socket that can measure powerconsumption. Maybe then I can verify how much power the zoneminderserver really needs. OK, the zoneminderserver is also a fileserver with a raid 1 array to serve 4Tb dataspace and hosts a...

Install on a virtual server in internet?

Hi folks, I was running a linux server since april 20 running zoneminder and several other applications 24/7... Then I had to pay 345 € more for energy than usual. Most of the costs seem to belong to the 24/7 computer running three hd drives, it´s an intel board from 2006 I remember, 300w power unit...

Re: ZM 1.32.3 (and 1.33.1) - bug on replay recorded JPEG images

Hi everybody... I just installed 1.32.3 on raspberry pi. I can see the live feed of my cameras, but no events, stills or frames... It says in the frame, where the video should be displayed: video could not be loaded either because the server or network failed. Since I am new to raspberry pi, am I am...

Change console colours?

Hi there... Is it possible to change the consoles background colour from white to black or anything else? I intend to use a tablet pc near my bed where I can see cycle or montage when I can´t sleep... The white background is a little annoying when the room is dark and the lights are out. Cheers Road...

Re: Different zones for each PTZ presets

Since the zones are stored in the database what about this idea: Defining a dummy monitor with no function... just to have a monitor id to keep all unneeded zones. Defining all zones of interethe st at the different camera positions for the real cameras. Then in database change all defined zone Moni...

Re: Patrol through preset positions possible?

OK this is solved now. The four cameras now pan and tilt as they should by a script using zmu and zmcontrol.pl in a batch file. The batch runs an endless loop. When I am not at home I sometimes take a look through cameras, it´s kinda fun with the cams panning but one could get a little sick staring ...

OK, this is solved too... the wiki covered everything I wanted to know about zmu.
Now cameras pan without triggering any unnecessary alarms.

I would like to turn off function, move to different position and then turn on function e.g. modect again.

Different zones for each PTZ presets

It was asked several years ago, but I didn´t find any solution to this: Since a PT Camera can have several position presets, is it possible to have zones for each position-preset? Can the zones be activated or deactivated manually with a controlscript like the cameras can panned or tilted using zmco...

Re: Foscam clone - PTZ error

Problems solved!
I installed the newest version of Opensuse (13.1) and then I installed ZM 1.26.4.
After a little trouble with the strict mode of mysql server the system is working, PTZ functions of my foscam clones are available!

Re: New problem - camera goes red

Here camerapictures turn red when someone changes resolution in the webinterface of the camera and zoneminder is set on a different resolution than the webinterface
