You can't upgrade from anything higher than 1.26.2! That's normal.

I think 1.26.3 is fine as a version to recommend.

Try version 1.26.3 first. Some of the 'solutions' I've seen proved to be red herrings for me.

I just edited the zmupdate.pl script when I had a similar problem. It'll reference the versions on that line. Does sound like it's not the latest zmupdate.pl though.

Current one references versions up to 1.26.2.

If it fails on 'make' you really have nothing to revert at that point. My install has ffmpeg 0.10.7, but I can offer a general suggestion. You should have some logging and can configure that in ZM in any case. Mine logs to a file and also show this in the webui. I'd expect some FAT errors in the log. Component it will likely show up against is zmc. You can check the monitor number in the Source config and just log some debug for that ...

ZM isn't any kind of firewall. Do you have any firewall/iptables on your Linux box?

A red link suggests your server cannot resolve the address of the camera. That's the only way I can reproduce the problem.

Can you screen grab the source config and post it up?

How did you install it in the first place?

I've run the releases up to 1.26.3 and it still functions ok for me.

Can you post up your configure command?

it reads like a camera problem. Have you tried viewing or grabbing the camera output during those hours? Maybe you could post the Source configuration for the camera and mention which camera it is.

Can you try adding the leading slash to the path.

Greater than or equal to -2 days for date/time should do it.
