Re: "No more events" in the event viewer, but there are...

There’s a lot of work going on at the minute. Go on Slack to make sure they are aware. If you don’t like the bumpy ride, I’d stay on 1.35.16 at the moment. Yeah, I'm aware of the above and the implications/acceptance of using the latest ZM release (I'm a long time ZM user) - I'm just asking the que...

Re: "No more events" in the event viewer, but there are...

I've since upgraded to 1.35.18~20210212115535-focal , but the same issue. This was all working prior to recent upgrades, but clicking on "Next" in the viewer results in this in the logs: js_logger-classic-1613148935.js:93 getCmdResponse stream error: Socket /run/zm/zms-278209s.sock does not exist. "No more events" in the event viewer, but there are... [FIXED]

Hi, I'm currently running zoneminder_1.35.18~20210210170809-focal_amd64.deb . Something I've noticed in this (and maybe the last couple of master branch releases) is that the event viewer, even with "Gapless Events" selected, only plays a single event. If you leave the initial event you're viewing t...

Re: Linked monitors broken in latest releases?

Something peculiar going on... I'm currently on 1.35.15~20201204114937-focal and I've had some events triggered on my high resolution monitors - although only a small subset of those recorded on the low resolution monitors e.g. the events I get every day when the cameras switch from the night to day...

Re: Linked monitors broken in latest releases?

Just to keep this up to date, I'm now running 1.35.15~20201203183158-focal and linked monitors aren't working with this release either.

Re: The definitive "rules" for linked monitors: low res detection, high res triggered?

So, I think I've tried most combinations of the various options to try and get linked monitors working with the very latest release (at the time of writing that's 1.35.14~20201127133119-focal ) - doesn't seem to be working. I've not tried downgrading to 1.35.12~20201028131153-focal , as suggest by j...

Re: The definitive "rules" for linked monitors: low res detection, high res triggered?

Were your linked monitors working previously? I'm currently troubleshooting a similar setup, where my linked high res nodect monitors are not triggering from their low res modect counterparts under 1.35.14~20201123104159-focal. For me, things were/are working fine under 1.35.12~20201028131153-focal...

Re: The definitive "rules" for linked monitors: low res detection, high res triggered?

mmm...not sure what's going on here. I changed the setup with the following differences from the above: * The Nodect monitors now have a detection zone * The Modect monitors now have "Save JPEGs: Disabled" + "Video Writer: H264 Camera Passthrough" After that: 18 events detected from one of the Modec...

Re: The definitive "rules" for linked monitors: low res detection, high res triggered?

Bit more on this, since I've left things running with a single setup: I'm definitely getting no triggering of my Nodect monitors from their linked/companion Modect monitors, if: * The Nodect monitors have no detection zones * The Modect monitors they're linked with have "Save JPEGs: Disabled" + "Vid...

Re: ZoneMinder 1.35. and Google Chrome

Just as an aside: don't think this is specific to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, per se.

I'm running the same as you: latest master ZM v1.35.14 on an up to date Ubuntu 20.04 LTS server install. I don't see the same issues with Chrome.

Linked monitors broken in latest releases?

Hi, Bit confused by this...have seen other posts, but confused by them too as they seem to contradict a bit (or maybe things have just changed?). As others seem to do, I have several IP cameras where I use their high resolution streams with monitors for event and live viewing, and their low resoluti...

Re: Events API returning warnings (and so invalid JSON)

Thanks - I'm on the latest master (at least in packaged form, from the PPA). I think the error a while back, from searching these forums, might have been caused by something else (albeit with a similar outcome, in terms of what appears in the response, so possibly related). The zmNinja issue I'm not...

Re: Events API returning warnings (and so invalid JSON)

As an update to this - just noticed that zmNinja isn't able to play events against my server either, so I guess it's related? Other functionality/API calls seem unaffected.
