Re: ZoneMinder 1.35. and Google Chrome

Just as an aside: don't think this is specific to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, per se.

I'm running the same as you: latest master ZM v1.35.14 on an up to date Ubuntu 20.04 LTS server install. I don't see the same issues with Chrome.

The definitive "rules" for linked monitors: low res detection, high res triggered?

Hi, Bit confused by this...have seen other posts, but confused by them too as they seem to contradict a bit (or maybe things have just changed?). As others seem to do, I have several IP cameras where I use their high resolution streams with monitors for event and live viewing, and their low resoluti...

Re: Events API returning warnings (and so invalid JSON)

Thanks - I'm on the latest master (at least in packaged form, from the PPA). I think the error a while back, from searching these forums, might have been caused by something else (albeit with a similar outcome, in terms of what appears in the response, so possibly related). The zmNinja issue I'm not...

Re: Events API returning warnings (and so invalid JSON)

As an update to this - just noticed that zmNinja isn't able to play events against my server either, so I guess it's related? Other functionality/API calls seem unaffected.

Events API returning warnings (and so invalid JSON)

Hi, Probably doing something silly here, but when querying the events API for a single event I'm getting returned a warning in the response. Here's an example for https://<zoneminder_domain>/zm/api/events/141020.json : Warning (2): filesize(): stat failed for /var/cache/zoneminder/events///141020-vi...

Nut-shell: a fix is currently present in master and so v1.33.4.
I'd guess that'll turn up in v1.32.4 for this release series.

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Yeah, I've just checked - post-upgrade to 1.32.3 I do have the changes in place from the commits listed in https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/issues/2319 , but also the initial original issue...

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Actually, I've just upgraded to 1.32.3 from the PPA, and I don't see any change in behaviour from the original defect (regardless of clicking in the progress bar) i.e. when viewing gapless events, and "upping" the rate, it still resets to 1x on the next event.

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Given that I guess this isn't expected behaviour, as it doesn't work this way for non-h.264 stored files, I've raised a bug here https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/issues/2319.

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Ah, yes, that's a good point- I am making use of h.264 too.

There's also the "black flash" that you get between events, but I can live with that - the resetting of the speed is a bit of a problem when reviewing events though :(

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Anyone else seeing this, or is it just an oddity of my install?

It's quite a pain to review multiple (gapless) events when the speed drops back to 1x on each new event.

Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Hi, I've been running 1.32.2 on a test server, and after a successful period of running there's now only one thing stopping me switching over my main server from 1.30.4. When viewing "Gapless Events", if I set a Fast Forward speed on one event it always reverts back to 1x when it hits the next event...

Re: Montage view missing info

mmm...I'm seeing this too, just checked.

With 1.30.4 I always see "status" and "fps" in the montage view, for each camera, as long as I am viewing < 6 cameras - 6 cameras or more and I don't.

However, with 1.32 I don't see "status" and "fps" when viewing 4 cameras in the montage view.

Re: Ubuntu 18.04.1 Dependency errors

The answer is in the first post (along with the problem)? I had to do the same as the OP on a clean (and very minimal) Ubuntu 18.04 server install, although having to do this varies (I suspect) depending on what you chose to install initially. Anyway, /etc/apt/source.list needs to be updated to incl...
