Re: Missing dependencies on CentOS 6 upgrade

I had 0.1.2-1 installed. I ran 'yum clean all' after disabling repoforge and updated.

I imagine that maintaining all this is a huge mess. If I start having any issues requiring major work I plan on starting from clean OS installs in VMs on whatever seems best for the application.

Re: Missing dependencies on CentOS 6 upgrade

Both ffmpeg and vlc show as installed from zmrepo, only opencore-amr installed from repoforge. Everything seems to be running fine for now. I'm pretty sure now that I had repoforge disabled due to the issues you stated. The upgrade to 1.28.105 was accidental. I don't know how I got into the testing ...

Re: Missing dependencies on CentOS 6 upgrade

And I figured it out. Looks like I needed to re-enable repoforge, not sure how/why I disabled it, and then ran yum install zoneminder --nogpgcheck.

Good work on the new version!

Missing dependencies on CentOS 6 upgrade

I'm getting the following on an upgrade from 1.28.105 -> 1.29 Error: Package: ffmpeg-libs-2.6.4-1.el6.x86_64 (zmrepo) Requires: libopencore-amrnb.so.0()(64bit) Error: Package: ffmpeg-libs-2.6.4-1.el6.x86_64 (zmrepo) Requires: libopencore-amrwb.so.0()(64bit) You could try using --skip-broken to work ...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

Is there some documentation for upgrading the zm install on various distros? My system is running 1.27 on SciLinux 6.5. I'm thinking of upgrading the system to SciLinux 7 soon but might wait. Guess what I'm really needing is a way to backup all my config info so I can upgrade the OS and/or zm insta...

Re: Database version issue after upgrading to 1.26.5

Can you try a suggestion I saw in another thread - The workaround for this is to put the following line back into your zm.conf file: ZM_VERSION=1.26.5 Thanks, that looks like it works. It throws errors but seems to run. Likewise starting the service throws errors but works. zmupdate.pl --version=1....

Database version issue after upgrading to 1.26.5

After upgrading from 1.26.4 to 1.26.5 I get the following error running zmupdate.pl --version=1.26.4 --user=xxx --pass=xxx routine main::ZM_VERSION redefined at /usr/bin/zmupdate.pl line 47 main::BEGIN() called at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/ZoneMinder/Config.pm line 47 eval {...} called at /usr/sh...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

I reinstalled the rpm. No rpmnew or rpmsave. I manually backed up the old zm.conf and reinstalled. This time I got a new default config so I plugged in the db password and now I show version 1.26.4 with one issue. I noticed in the web interface that the version number was red and clicking on it indi...

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

I did find some old zm.conf in an older git build directory and some rmpsave files. I deleted everything except the current zm.conf in /etc. I reran the commands and verified the old files were deleted. Then I checked zm.conf and it lists 1.26.3.

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

I installed 1.26.3 with the rpm package. 1.26.4 seemed to install OK, rpm -qa |grep zoneminder shows zoneminder-1.26.4-1.el6.x86_64

Since I added the ALTER permissions with the 1.26.3 upgrade I skipped that part of the instructions.

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

I just ran zoneminder-1.26.4-1.el6.x86_64.rpm to upgrade from 1.26.3 and everything looks like it should have updated OK but it's still showing as 1.26.3 in the web interface.

Yes, deleting the old files in /usr/local worked. Thank you very, very much. Your work and help is definitely appreciated.

Re: Zoneminder RPM & SRPMS for Red Hat & CentOS 6

See how the system is looking under /usr/local instead of /usr? That typically means you have a previous version of zoneminder on your system, which has been installed from source, in addition to 1.26 installed from rpm. What you need to do is navigate to the folder you originally installed that ol...
