Re: Ubuntu upgrade to v22 LTS killed Zoneminder

I ran into this. I think if we watched carefully, zoneminder and old PHP flavors may have been in the prompt to remove old versions when doing upgrade. I had WEBMIN installed, and that survived the upgrade just fine, so job one was pull a copy of the Database, just in case. You could also do it on t...

Re: ZM upgrade 1.36.21 to 1.36.23 multiple failures

Yeah sorry everyone. Took me all night to find all the breakage. I have now released 1.36.24 and I think it's good. Packages building, just working on the announcements. Isaac Thank you for all the work you do. I am seeing a lot of these, however, the actual steams look ok. 8/6/22, 9:21:35 AM PDT z...

Re: "Shared data size conflict in shared_data for monitor"

Yes. 1.36.23 annihilated my setup. The funny thing is, the changes are minor.

I suspect Packet queue, TZ change would not seem to be very traumatic unless the formatting really messes up the DB.

Re: ZMA possibly broke in 1.35.5~20200716162846-eoan

It's OK, just have too much going on to chase it right now. Have a family member that is in and out of the hospital the last couple weeks (4 times, currently in) that could end with them checking out on a more permanent basis (not covid, but that would push them over at this point so ya.) I normally...

Re: IP Camera access thru VPN tunnel

Those cam are pretty neat, looking at their website, would be nice to get those PTZs working with ZM and better if they got around to 4MP versions some day for a nice, cheap HQ PTZ. They're all 2mp/1080 now. You can add your experience to https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Hardware_Compatibility_List and s...

Good catch, I should have said mocord....all mine are mocord to catch passing events that might not tigger detection otherwise.

ZMA possibly broke in 1.35.5~20200716162846-eoan

I upgraded zm master because the previous update had the buffer issue "smearing" the video in some cases. I think that fix broke ZMA. I have 8 cameras, most 4k and have made no other changes other than apt update/upgrade that pulled 1.35.5~20200716162846-eoan. Would have posted sooner, but...

In particular, Options>Storage would be a good place to start.

df in shell would be handy as well.

Well, the slider fixed itself. Guess maybe zmaudit got things back in sync.

Rare case when something fixed itself, yay!

Ubuntu 19.04 Disco to 19.10 Eoan (mysql DB)

This is not strictly necessary steps or a how to, just a snippet of my history on fixing Zoneminder 1.33.14 (1.33.14~20190930144403-disco) on mysql after I blindly updated to Eoan 19.10 on Ubuntu without thinking that through. I also removed iConnor's PPA (was on StorageAreas) and put it on master p...
