Re: FLOSS Weekly and New UI Teaser

IMHO, one of the best strong points of ZoneMinder is the very minimalistic and simple UI; not many frills and things of that nature... So with that said, I like the way the new UI is headed... :)

Re: Possible bug? Log explosion over image size discrepency

This would require recompiling and rebuilding, correct?

Can I just re-install over existing build?

Re: Possible bug? Log explosion over image size discrepency

Awesome! Easiest to reproduce: set orientation to 'left' and change adjust width to 480 and height to 640 (or whatever values apply to your camera).

Thanks!

Re: Possible bug? Log explosion over image size discrepency

I did a comparison between the code... I am no C++ expert but it looks to me this error message has been added in 1.26.3 and was not in 1.25.0: 1.26.3 code: /* Check if the image has at least one huffman table defined. If not, use the standard ones */ /* This is required for the MJPEG capture palett...

Possible bug? Log explosion over image size discrepency

Folks, I just upgraded from 1.25.0 (which was installed using mastertheknife's package) to 1.26.3. Everything went through smoothly aside from some manual database table conversions... but that too was not a problem. As far as I can see, captures and everything else seems to be working fine. However...

It doesn't :( I tried via apt-get/aptitude... haven't had the chance to compile it from source but that'd be my next attempt. Worse comes to worst - I'll build another VM and then just copy-pasta!

MasterTheKnife's ZoneMinder 1.25.0 source - ffmpeg upgrade?

Hi all, I installed 1.25.0 using MasterTheKnife's precompiled tarball. During the install process, it appears he also included ffmpeg 0.9. Currently, I am trying to upgrade to 1.26.3, however the make install process fails when stumbling upon ffmpeg: zm_ffmpeg_camera.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/zm_ffmpeg_ca...

Re: 1.25.0 -> 1.26.3 upgrade fails on make install

I think the problem I am encountering is due to the fact ffmpeg was compiled via mastertheknife's source tarball... Darn...! I don't quite know how to remove it properly... any ideas?

1.25.0 -> 1.26.3 upgrade fails on make install

Howdy, Attempting to upgrade my 1.25.0 install to 1.26.3, however I am encountering a problem I suspect has to do with ffmpeg (version 0.9 installed on Debian 6). I downloaded the source and executed the following commands: aclocal autoheader automake --force-missing --add-missing autoconf ./configu...

Re: Upgrade instructions from 1.25.0 -> 1.26.1?

Hey there. All that you should need to do is build and install zoneminder from source, and then run the zmupdate.pl script. The wiki instructions for upgrading should be applicable. My bad regarding puppet - it is only for fresh installs and doesn't handle upgrades at all. Question: For those of us...

Does anyone have instructions no how to upgrade 1.25.0 to 1.26.1 on Debian6? I had to manually compile the install due to puppet not behaving itself...

Bumping this from the dead because I hit the same exact problem today on my Debian install with MariaDB.

Interestingly - this install is a brand new since my previous one, which was identical (but I did a boo-boo), never had any such issue when I set pre/post buffers to 200 frames just as OP...

Foscam FI8910W - unable to control...

Howdy! I used to have a great ZoneMinder install which... went boom (due to my own doing). I had to start from scratch and for the most part - everything works except pan/tilt control for both my Foscam FI8910W (which used to work just fine). I used to guide found here: http://www.zoneminder.com/wik...

Re: The infamous Corrupt JPEG problem...

In case someone else has the same problem, what was the solution? Well... it was a bit unconventional: I have an 'odd' install; I followed the wiki article for installing ZoneMinder on Debian 6 and it's done differently than with Ubuntu. I also have the performance patch installed. When I edited th...
