Re: Something went wrong with PHP

Magic919 wrote: Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:03 pm Sounds like you need to enable PHP with Apache.
The "eselect" command suggests you're using Gentoo.

If you are using Gentoo, check the file /etc/conf.d/apache2 and look for APACHE2_OPTS. Make sure that "-D PHP" is added to that line, as described here.

Re: Live view with H264 stream instead of MJPEG

Thanks for letting me know you're working on it and it's not something I'm missing, if that makes any sense. I'm sure I could wrangle VLC to view the streams if I got desperate.

Just PayPal'd a donation to you.

Live view with H264 stream instead of MJPEG

After years of running ZoneMinder (now at 1.34) with an old BT878 card and analogue cameras I'm trying out v1.36.7 on a spare machine with an IP camera in the view to upgrading, and so far I really like what I'm seeing. I've set the "Video Writer" option to "Camera passthrough" w...

Re: Replay controls do not work on Fedora 28

For those not tuned in to the github issue I linked, non-functional playback controls on JPEG stored events seem to be caused by PHP not being compiled with semaphore support. A patch is there which has since been applied to master.

Re: Replay controls do not work on Fedora 28

The Replay controls in event view do not do anything. Prev Event, and Next event DO work though. Rewind, Step Back, Pause, Play, Step Ahead, Fast Forward are all non-functional. I too have been hit by this bug upon upgrade to v1.32.2 Like others here I've noticed this only affects sources which sav...

Re: Spam edits on the wiki.

Another fortnight, another round of spam edits by Erictenne that I've just had to clean up. Again.

Have all the spam-sweepers gone away for good?

Re: Spam edits on the wiki.

Agreed. I've cleaned up kristof's spam edits a few times over the past month myself. In fact that user spammed the same pages again about 24 hours since this thread was started, so I've had to undo those revisions again. As well as the wiki, the forum has two spam posts in Website Issues and one in ...

Re: Adding identical webcams to zoneminder

I too was hit with this permissions problem when I upgraded to v1.27 yesterday. In the case of Gentoo, the device is owned by the "video" group. # ls -l /dev/video0 crw-rw---- 1 root video 81, 0 Jun 17 20:51 /dev/video0 Rather than muck about with udev rules I solved it with a different me...

How to upgrade to 1.27 on Gentoo

Gentoo users. A couple of months ago zoneminder 1.27 finally re-entered the official portage tree. For those who have yet to upgrade and are running an older version installed from an old overlay, I have posted my experiences of upgrading to v1.27 in the Gentoo forums. It's essential reading as one ...

Re: NCP3000v2 16ch 4x fusion bt878a

How many /dev/video's do you have in your /dev directory? If you have /dev/video1, /dev/video2 and /dev/video3 as well, try looking at those using the same "bttv options card=158,158,158,157" you have now. I can get video ... for one camera but it displays on all screens eg video0 ch0 ch1 ...

Re: Is ZoneMiinder still under active development?

Perhaps it's a case of keeping an eye out for anyone that forks the project, particularly as there seem to be a couple of people now who are publishing their own modifications. I have found a couple of git "forks" of Zoneminder in these forums by chance, it seems that finding all the git ...

Re: Ability to refeed existing events to motion detector

I too would really like this feature. During the long summer days I get lots and lots of "motion" which turn out to be the clouds moving in front of the sun altering the overrall brightness level. I'm currently trying some preclusive zones which do help a little but doesn't solve the probl...
