It is possible that it has overwritten Your 1.32.0 with 1.30. Or some mixture thereof. The upgrade will have also disabled the ppa. So you will need to re-enable it. I found the solution. It turns out that the version reported by 'mysql -V' is 14.14 but the correct version is 5.7. Go figure.
