Re: Using .RPM on top of source code install

Wellll.... scrpms brings MythTV on CentOS 6.8 up to 0.28_32 and ffmpeg to 2.2-something... (and all those fun libraries) So I'll add your repository to see what's needed besides that. My ZM 1.25.0 install is all located in /usr/local.... So I'll see what I can see. but you've answered the question.....

Using .RPM on top of source code install

Hey there, Quick and easy question: I'm already running ZM 1.25.0 on top of my CentOS 6.8 install. I'd like to switch to the RPM repository - but am wondering: * If I need to uninstall ZM 1.25.0 first. (I'm assuming "yes" - but would like confirmation) * Does this blast away my ZM database already r...

WEB_ALARM_SOUND and Browser interaction

Hey All, I'm trying to figure out if my browser's busted or not... (FireFox v35.x) I have WEB_ALARM_SOUND set to a doorbell .WAV file and it's placed in /var/www/html/zm/sounds/ (I can load it in the URL manually) Does this work from the Montage mode or only the single live-feed window? Just wonderi...

Re: Decent "bullet" cam?

I bought a couple of outdoor mounted bullet cams from PartsExpress.com (under the bran Talos) -- they're now $40 or so each. (the 420 series) http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=334-136 I've had pretty good luck with them. ANYTHING composite video is going to lack in quality co...

Re: cards for sale

Do you still have this stuff kicking around? Where are you located?

I might be interested in the 8 channel card.

To ask the obvious, these cards work with ZM/Linux, yes?

Re: ZM failing to show jpeg images in Event Viewer [SOLVED]

I figured I may have set something funny... but couldn't find it and no errors were appearing in the compile process..

So I erased/re-imported the mysql tables for zoneminder and that (wiped out my settings But ALSO) fixed my problem.

Re: socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-656085s.sock) on 10.04 LTS 64

You're having the same problem I am... Check my thread a few slots below and take a look at your install --- my problem seems to be that the socket for zms crashes out due to a bad zm_jpeg function that calls the jpeg library with a bad arg. (I can't view events either - but everything else seems to...

MINOR: ZM PHP date.timezone Error [SOLVED]

This one isn't a deal breaker, but Apache's logs scream and complain about this: PHP Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods a...
