Re: How to upgrade to 1.27 on Gentoo

Thank you! I did the upgrade like I used to, thinking nothing of it. At first I couldn't find the webroot nor the apache config. Then it just plain wouldn't start. I followed your guide and was able to recover my installation. Although my previous events seem to have been lost, even after copying th...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2013-04-

My initial version ran into this. I ended up looping the entire process (excluding finding the media port). Each channel will reconnect to control and media then start the stream. I've done a little more exploration, and it seems like it might be related to the initial probe by zoneminder on the st...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2013-04-

Hello all, I've been working with zmodopipe to try and get my zmodo DVR h9118v working with zoneminder. I used it as a starting point to create a working pipe program. I'm not sure if the other DVR's work the same as mine, but I looked through some network captures and got my pipe working. I connec...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2012-01-

I am so glad you posted this. I have been looking for a way to integrate Zoneminder with these qsee's I have zoneminder running at home since 2008. I have a few very basic questions, that might be insultingly obvious. 1.) Do I need to have zmodopipe.c downloaded to a specific directory? 2.) After c...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2012-01-

Thanks for the suggestion. I have edited my post. Although the qsee dvr is not very secure anyhow, everything is clear text. I don't leave it open to the internet. I vpn into my network to access anything such as rdp, ssh, cifs, or the dvr. Anyhow, I will test the code change tonight and post the w...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2012-01-

Any luck with the model that was on Woot yesterday? (PKD-DK40107) I'd be willing to work with you to get this model going as well. No one has offered as of yet. If you have it, I'd love to work with you to get it working. Just see this post for directions how: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewt...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support! - Updated 2012-01-

I've updated the program. See OP for update.
Also, Ian (whiteduck), pointed me to a site where he listed directions on how to connect to some DVR's to get the raw x264 files: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... 5&start=45
Might be useful to some.

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support!

You should know that there are a bunch of people that recently got the ZModo 8114's on sale at Woot, and are desperately trying to find some software to make them useable... (Doesn't help that the units don't actually do what their specs said they would do.) That's great! It looks like the 8114 is ...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support!

Thank you for your reply. I can give you access to the DVR is you want to play around with it, I'm just out of town at the moment would want to first change the password which I can't do remotely. If you can send me the source code for the 8114, I would be very grateful. To open a stream in VLC: St...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support!

I have a Zmodo H8114UV. Here are a few notes for the 8114: Using the windows "DVR Client" software, the streams are 352x240, not 704x480, regardless whether or not you select lan or internet. The internet setting appears at a harsher encoding and lower framerate however. If I first view a...

Re: zmc crash with ffmpeg source on upgrade

I figured it out. In case anyone else runs into this... Apparently either the ffmpeg build, or the zoneminder build was also finding libaries under /usr/local. I had custom built libx264 and ffmpeg packages, and had them stored under /usr/local. Something was picking that up and causing issues (even...

zmc crash with ffmpeg source on upgrade

After upgrading to 1.25.0 from 1.24.4, I get a seg fault when zmc loads with an ffmpeg source. dragon bin # /usr/bin/zmc -m 1 [h264 @ 0x7ecb010] Format h264 probed with size=2048 and score=51 [h264 @ 0x7ecb010] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5000000 [h264 @ 0x7ecb010] Estimating duration fr...

Re: Working QSee/Swann/Zmodo DVR support!

Here is some more info on trying to get this to work with the QT504. What I have ended up doing with the program is hard-coding the send buffers with the data from the dump. This has successfully created the connection and packets are flowing. However - whenever I try to hook up ffmpeg to the pipe ...
