Re: Capturing in NODECT, Encode in Auto, Which AI?

Shit. I'll just do my own research and fix it the best way I can find, and keep it to myself then. Since this is how it is.

Re: Capturing in NODECT, Encode in Auto, Which AI?

Ok that makes sense then. Although I'd understood that spewtube runs exclusively h.265.

I wish that we had the choice of AV1.

Capturing in NODECT, Encode in Auto, Which AI?

Version 1.36.33 1. I have three cameras and have set up separate monitors for each, for hi-rez and lo-rez. Lo-rez is analyzing in MOCORD and hi-rez is set to NODECT with link to lo-rez. Thing is, the two Dahua cameras' hi-rez monitors are capturing all the time , and the Hik is not (as I think shoul...

Database Connection Problem

Have mariadb in one container in podman pod, and ZM in another container in the same pod. Inside the zm container: # nc -z -v mariadb 3306 mariadb (127.0.0.1:3306) open ... so I know that the ZM container shares the mariadb port. # mysql -u root -h 127.0.0.1:3306 -p < /usr/share/zoneminder/db/zm_cre...

Re: Installing on MicroOS

Interesting, thanks. I need to make a few changes as / and /usr (amongst others) are immutable. I'll translate the dependencies to .rpms.

Installing on MicroOS

Need to install on MicroOS, an immutable version of OpenSuse Tumbleweed, but it seems that there are only packages for Leap . Is it possible/advisable to install Leap packages in Tumbleweed? And it seems there is a vanilla variant which lacks ffmpeg, and an MP variant which depends on VLC's. Well ZM...

Re: ZM Event Notification - No Bounding Boxes

This is Passthrough, Actual Size in H.264, with default camera settings:

It is possible that with LPR settings (faster shutter, etc) it could do better. But no bounding boxes, ever.

Re: ZM Event Notification - No Bounding Boxes

About image quality, I've set the camera to H.264 and the transcoding is much better, although still not what it should be (Actual Size):

I wish I could set HD to Passthrough and get bounding boxes.

ZM Event Notification - No Bounding Boxes

Has anyone been able to actually get EN working like it's supposed to, with bounding boxes? I've set up and tested EN and set ZM Options to OPT_USE_EVENTNOTIFICATION, and it does seem to be recording events in MoDect... but no bounding boxes. And it does not record people walking by like it's suppos...

Re: Event was not found.

Have you not set your timezone? Is the time/date on the camera different than that on your server?

Classically UDP daemons do not listen. Idk whether they spray, or have to be asked.

Re: File System Recommendation

Evidently there is... BTRFS is mandatory for the OS I use. ( MicroOS ) I know it's had its problems and I have experienced them all, but its characteristics are ideal for an immutable OS like MicroOS, and it is my experience that 'ButterFS' has matured sufficiently at this point. I've converted my h...

Re: File System Recommendation

I've used XFS for years (and in the past used Reiser), and XFS is painless and journal-safe. I have five disks which I pass through to the cameras VM then LUKS encrypt, divide into partitions, and mkfs.xfs. I also use XFS in my backups server (over LUKS). I use it whenever given the choice.
