zmNinja - ZM-User permission

I've installed zmNinja Android App which is used to enable/disable monitors of a zoneminder v1.30.4 instance. Unfortunately this is only possible if the user has the System-Edit privilege (Monitor-Edit privilege is not sufficient !) Probably this is a security bug within the ZM-API, since it works f...

Monitor via HTTPS connection

Does zoneminder support https connectioins for monitors? Under the "Source" tab in the monitor configuration I only can choose between "HTTP" and "RTSP" protocol. If I change the port to 443, the monitor just displays a solid red area.

Re: Setting up Edimax IC-9000

hello neonightmare, as far I know there is something messed up at the end of the mpeg file itself, so that zm isn't able to get it working. I'm sorry, I couldn't find a solution for that, and that's the reason why I no longer have this camera. sorry that I can't help you. But If you have a solution,...

I massively reduced system load when going from Ubuntu to debian with just zoneminder running, exact same config. I also have had perfomance troubles by using Ubunut 10.04. The process Xorg was very cpu intensive. CPU usage about 80%! I found out that there are problems by using Intel graphic cards...

I tried to make the IC-9000 working by using the script http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Edimax but sadly with no success. In order that I can workout a solution I need some background information and/or hints which I want to ask for. -) Why I need modifications for this cam? What is differe...

hello, you have to add options to this command. Try to follow the step by step configuration from victor petersson. http://viktorpetersson.com/2010/05/23/how-to-install-zoneminder-1-24-2-on-ubuntu-10-04-lts-server/ He used the command: ./configure --with-webdir=/var/www/zm --with-cgidir=/usr/lib/cgi...

hello DaveQB, I'm really glad that now you can run the cam on ZM. So I think I also will order the IP 8332 tomorrow. But there is just one thing that I will ask you. Are the LED's real IR-LED's or do they send out some kind of blue light like shown in the picture: http://www.google.at/imgres?imgurl=...

hello, I just attract attention on two points of your settings like the Remote Host Name. If your camera is password protected you maybe should use: CamUser:CamPwd@10.33.33.133 Next point is the Remote Host Path. So I would try to use: /cgi-bin/viewer/video.mjpg because /video.jpg means a single pic...

hello DaveQB

I'm also interested in buying the IP8332. Can you please tell how does it work with ZM? And are you satisfied with it? Are you running it with H.264 or MJPEG?

thx a lot,
