if i edit zmvideo.pl in any way zonemidner cant generate videos any more,if i undo my changes with a backup i still cant save videos, i need to reinstall the os and zoneminder after i edit zmvideo.pl I use gedit to edit text files ... could that be a problem ? ok nvm that, i had wrong permisions on ...

just dont use ubuntu 9.10 , it has plenty of conflicts wth zoneminder, use a different distro or ubuntu 8.04. I wasnt able to use any version of zoneminder on ubuntu 9.10.

I dont use the motion capture feature, i want to recort nonstop while the pc is active .

I cant seem to find any tutorials on how to do this.
I currently have a 4 camera setup on the "pico" capture card.
i managed to monitor them with 2 fps on 640x480, the record feature only makes jpg files, how to i convert my camera input to any video format ?
