Just ordered a USB easy cap 002 I know it will work with Linux and I have also ordered a asus wl500g now to see if I can get this router to use the device lol I now have a new chanenge ie the first open source router wish me luckL

Thanks for the reply but in this case the forums where of know help unless there is any mention of ubuntu adding apparmor to there latist version of server and this was causing the problem apparmor must have seen the traffic as bad and blocked it i have put the solution at the end of a guide for ins...

will these methods of a router using web cams work with say a usb capture device like the cheap ones we all see of ebay? then you could have a low fps 8 channel network video server that'd be cool

hi guys the problem i have is i am requred to have my new zm system store 3yrs worth of footage and i have 4 cameras recording on motion they capture about 70 hours a week i have worked 8 tb will store it but im thinking of having rolling storage as in only having say one of the four 2 tb disks onsi...

just had a quick serch on ebay and cannot find anything for q serial have you got a link or what you typed into the serch for other people to find these cameras?

can you see an image at all on the zm box/webpages ? what address are you using for the zoneminder config (cam addresss) what firmware is on the 9100 i have one working with the yoics firmware my guess if all of the above is correct it is apparmor blocking the activity i suggeset using command sudo ...

if you open the settings for the monitor and set both the alarm fps and max fps to i belive 0.16 should give you around one frame or shot every min

also for other people that can script and such do you want the videos to be generated automaticaly at the end of every day
