Re: Still causing issue

Hello I have the same issue with Zoneminder 1.24.2 not compiling on Gentoo and showing this error. I have downgraded jpeg to jpeg-8a (which is the same as on my other Zoneminder box that I built recently and is working). On this box it has made no difference, I have also tried the other versions of...

I purchased my camera about one month ago, it came with the following firmware (from settings page of the camera) Firmware Version = A1D-220-V3.11.13-AC TechGuy, sounds like you could benefit from updating the ACM-1231 firmware. Thanks for the info. I was hestitant to upgrade because I was concerne...

Curious Questions: If you uses ffmpeg and save a stream with your ACTi 1231, do you see stream header errors, like I posted? If not, what firmware version is on your Camera? if Your running the lastest version A1D-220-V3.11.13-AC, can you try using the MJPEG http Stream method to see if it works. Th...

I happen to think, the problem is ZM shows "Low Bandwidth" instead of high. I have a 1Gb backbone, the machine ZM runs on is a 1Gb card and the internet connections to all the cameras are coming in at 54M. I can't figure out how to let ZM know I have or to use HIGH bandwidth. I think that's where m...

Sort of. I had problems with shm when not running as root (some sort of permissions problem). As a work around, I start /usr/bin/zmc -m 1 in a shell script running as root. The rest runs of zm runs under the apache user ID. For a quick test, set zm to run as root and see if the problem is resolved w...

I am pretty sure ZoneMinder does not support asf. The rtsp code relies on ffmpeg libraries. If you can get the camera working with ffmpeg with the avi stream, you can use the builtin ffmpeg support option. You make also be able to use VLC wrapper to create an rtsp that is compatible with ZoneMinder:...

The log isn't giving me much help. Most all looks normal with connections to a camera. I searched for "err" and get back, as an example: (date) (system) zmc_m18(3834): ERR [Select error: Interrupted system call] Also: (date)(system) zm_m12(13545)" ERR [ Can't connect to remote camera: Interrupted s...

Re: Black out screens on random basis

I am using ZM 1.24 and have this frequent problem. I will have all six camera displays on the screen (mixture of Dlink 900W and Dlink 920W.) Seemingly as it feels like it, one of the screens goes black or sometime several at once. Sometimes they come back on by themselves in about a minute, but som...

Re: zm is stopped and won't restart (no zmc processes up)

I have a zoneminder 1.24.2 setup that had been working fine for months without intervention. Now all of a sudden all the sources are red and the console is "Stopped". No images, needless to say. Restarting zoneminder from the web interface does not work (still says "stopped"). From the console, "ps...

Hey guys, thanks for the response, Coke. Both host and guest are ubuntu 9.10, Do you know how i can go about achieving this? Whatboy, Ideally I dont want to spend cash. You can probably setup a rtsp video stream server using either ffmpeg (ffserver) or vlc. This will create a live video stream on t...

Re: zmcontrol.pl - Can't connect: Permission denied

Perhaps this is a silly question, but did you try connecting to the camera's tcp\udp port for the PTZ? Perhaps the ports are inaccessible either because they are not turned on, on the camera, or because of firewall rules blocking them.

I believe the "Operation now in progress" error is a permissions problem with shared memory . If you run zmc as root it works fine. I didn't want to run ZM as root, so instead I launch zmc using a bash script: #!/bin/bash while true; do /usr/bin/zmc -m 1 done The rest of ZM runs under the apache use...

I have an acti camera. the only way I was able to make it work is to use ffmpeg, which is a supported zoneminder option. The issue is that acti cameras generate rtsp stream errors and this breaks zoneminder. Even with ffmpeg I occationally have to restart ffmpeg because of the errors that end up cra...

I think its because the rtsp authentication code hasn't been included in the SVN releases yet. I thought I recall it was added, but perhaps its not yet included. The rtsp.c file in the ffmpeg source should have something like this in it to support authentication. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp....
