Re: Geovision GV800

Again old post but I'm just now getting around to trying out my GV800 16 channel with Ubuntu 10.10. It appears to recognize the card but I cant seem to get any video. Can someone give me some guidance on what settings you use ex. Capture Method Linux vers 1 or vers 2? Device format, Capture palette,...

Re: Geovision GV800

Thanks, CoYoTe, this is good news. I'm currently using the windows software but its not nearly as friendly as the geovision for remote viewing. Yep GV 800 works with last v4l2 driver. The only "detail" is the commented here, v4l multibuffer disabled or (in new zm version) 2 captures per fr...

Re: Geovision GV800

I know this is an old post but reading through this I just want to confirm that folks who do have the GV-800 working with Zoneminder are getting all channels and smooth video? There was some discrepancy and before I pull the trigger on purchasing one I wanted to confirm. Thanks.

Question regarding Sharx DVR card

I'm in the need for a PCI-E DVR card, prefer 8 or 16 channel. I also have some ip cameras I need to connect and plan to use Zoneminder. Does anyone know if this card would work? I can't find many specs on it. Sharx Security SCXSC300 16 Channel PCI-express http://www.amazon.com/Sharx-Security-SCXSC30...

A little unclear as to what your asking, but I would tell you that you can get a free domain name from dyndns.com which will allow you to have a domain name like "something.selfip.net" which points to your server (this would resolve any issues with you not having a static ip). You would of...

I have ubuntu server 10.10 installed with ZM 1.24.2 via the directions in this post and everything seems to work correctly, I can add a monitor and it stays orange in monitor mode. When I click on the camera it now brings up the popup window with controls and a black box with the words "WAITING...

Tried this but still doesn't work. I had a nice zoneminder 1.23 setup on Ubuntu 8.x but decided to upgrade, (that was a mistake). I feel like I'm close but cannot get video to work.. So I got my setup working finally. Took some goofing off, but here's what I did. I edited /etc/zm/zm.conf Changed Zon...

NO ZONES button - Ubuntu 9.10 Server & ZM 1.24.2 -

I just recently installed from scratch ubuntu 9.10 and 1.24.2 of ZM and the video of all 8 cameras appears to work correctly, although a few of them seem to have some interlacing. The problem is when I select a camera to do MODECT nowhere do I see the ZONES button that used to appear when you clicke...

I have a TV-IP410 camera and have not had much success with the PTZ portion using ZM. The weird thing is it does seem to control the camera but I have to switch between Control view tab and Events tab to see anything. (BAsically the image stays static when inside controllable view). I can make my pr...
