Re: ZM 1.24.4 Performance Patch - Completed

After a week running 4 different servers with this patches (the F revision, thx mastertheknife for passing it to me before publishing) the results are: Stability: perfect, no server hangs. Performance: System load reduced 10~25%. Some servers records on all cams, some do not, but all shows an increa...

Re: ZM 1.24.4 Performance Patch - Completed

ppl: Tonight I have the luck to chat with mastertheknife, and found a solution to one server i have running in a new low profile machine. His patches makes really an excellent job. In this particular server (Sempron LE1250 w/ 1gb of ram) resources are very low, and this impact directly in overall pe...

ENCORE ENVCWI-G1 Wireless Cam

THIS cam works fine in zoneminder To make it works w/zm: * Must create an user allowed to view the video stream. * Must be connected to a reachable network to the ZM server. (via wire or wireless, no matter what) ZM cam setting: Camera type: REMOTE Remote Protocol: HTTP Remote Method: Simple remote...

Geovision GV 900

Hi: Now that GV 800 works, the challenge is to stabilize the GV 900. I can make it work with GV 800 driver, but adjusting channels is a nightmare. This toys have a GPIO that "jumps" between channels and looks like the GV800 settings dont match (by the way, GV 800 shows 4 video devices, and...

Re: Geovision GV800

Yep GV 800 works with last v4l2 driver. The only "detail" is the commented here, v4l multibuffer disabled or (in new zm version) 2 captures per frame, does the trick "settling down" the images. You loose performance but gains stability, and it depends of your camera types and qua...

as far as i know, the only difference between GV800-900-1480 is the way the internal clock grabs frames from the video channels. Thats why the differences, but, in general lines, make that all hard work. I suggest someone contact BTTV drivers dev team to ask them if they can adjust clocks and read o...

HOWTO - Flash video stream in Zoneminder

Hi: I gonna try to contribute a little with this great project. Sorry if i misspell, and fell free to correct them (my native language is Spanish). Zoneminder can stream video in many formats. Depending on it, the bandwidth use is affected. So, with a low profile Internet connection, any attempt to ...

I have the same issue here, with an ECS borad and a AMD processor. I notice that, if you restart zoneminder, all things goes ok. Looks like daemons and hard lost sync on startup (its weird, some cams start with a green screen or with a line of vid on top), but the problem is solved with a "zmpk...

the mixed images issue in this board can be fixed easy,

in OPTIONS - CONFIG simply disable the option:

V4L_MULTI_BUFFER

The color issue,
Try RGB555 or 565 or YUV420 space color in cams. Or try V4L1.

and copy/paste the error here.

in this:
