Re: Stuck video buffer on event playback that is at rate 5x or higher
Well found out it is working fine in Firefox... something must have been updated in Google Chrome that is causing the issue.

Re: Stuck video buffer on event playback that is at rate 5x or higher
Nothing... I checked the exact time for that entire minute (because the log doesn't show seconds) and there were no related errors. Must be a client side issue.

Re: Stuck video buffer on event playback that is at rate 5x or higher
No ideas on this? I thought maybe it was related to the recording framerate because a few were recording at 30 and the rest are all at 10, but fixing that didn't resolve the playback buffering at 5x rate or higher issue. This apparently didn't used to be an issue.... the system has about 133 cameras ...

Stuck video buffer on event playback that is at rate 5x or higher
This wasn't an issue months ago, and nothing has changed on my server that I'm aware of. Now though when anyone tries to playback events at a rate of 5x or faster, then we just get a stuck buffering circle and the video playback freezes. We can click around on the timescale and it will bring up that ...

Re: Import of monitors fails
Thanks! I'll try this soon when I get time. I did search for how to reset ZM database but wasn't finding this in my searches.

Re: Import of monitors fails
Thanks, i'll try that!
Is there a way to reset the database to defaults? My import attempts screwed something up and now I can't even add cameras manually.

Re: Import of monitors fails
I'm trying to do the import avoiding phpMyAdmin. So I used the following command to export: mysqldump -u root -p zm Monitors > /var/www/monitors.sql Then I used WinSCP to grab the file and uploaded it to my new ZM server in /var/tmp. I use the following command to import: mysqlimport -u root -p zm ...

Re: Import of monitors fails
So I'd like to use phpMyAdmin to export and import the Monitors from one ZM server to another. They are both running 1.36.33
What custom settings should I do for the export and subsequent import?

Re: Import of monitors fails
So I can't seem to get another hard drive added without ubuntu crashing on boot and going into intramfs. I have the correct UUID so I'm not sure what is going on, but when I exclude it from the fstab then it boots fine. At this point I'm back to my original desire, to export the 133 cameras I have ...

Re: Import of monitors fails
Thanks for the responses... I just came back to check and sounds like that is what I should do rather than build a new system. I think if I just add another storage disk and format it, then it should show up in ZM right? I can just switch each camera to the new storage? What will happen with the old ...

Re: Import of monitors fails
I needed less RAM and didn't want to mess with the some of the config that ubuntu does depending on how much RAM is installed. Just thought it would be cleaner.... but I guess I could just mount a new RDM disk to the VM, format it, and start recording events there. I don't know if I can keep the old ...

Import of monitors fails
I have a 1.36 ZM on Ubuntu server 22.04.2 inside a VMware VM. Runs great... but I way over estimated RAM and storage needs. I built a new VM to fit better and used phpmyadmin web to export the Monitors to a SQL file. When I try to import the Monitors file on the new ZM (all same versions) it fails ...

Re: Virtualized NVR, what OS?
Thanks for the thoughts... you're probably right about overthinking things. I'll report back how things turn out in a few weeks once i've had time to actually get a vNVR up and running. As for being on 1.28... oh yeah, I developed an imaging process with a template to make it easy for us and it was ...

Re: Virtualized NVR, what OS?
Hi Andyrh and thanks for responding. Not sure what you mean by information, other than what the product documentation states; I haven't done any testing. I have four 10Gbit Ethernet connections per VMware host, but only two of four are active I/O, so in theory VM's should get up to a max of 20 Gbit ...

Virtualized NVR, what OS?
For years, we've been running eight custom built servers running ZM 1.28.1 on Ubuntu server 12.04. Each server has 14-20 cameras on each recording at 720p or 1080p 5 fps in MJPEG and this gets us at our required 30 days of retention for our ~130 Axis IP cameras; and this has served us quite well but ...
