Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Oh dear - that isn't nice :-(

For my purposes, would it be possible for zmeventnotification to pass the original detection string to zm_event_end.sh ? (as arg 5 so as not to break existing uses).

Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Oh Poo :-( Spoke too soon. It doesn't work for either longer events or events with multiple zones - not sure which. The event log below shows it detected objects and changed the Event Notes (at 18:04:04) to include "detected:".... but by the time zmeventnotification called zm_event_end.sh (18:05:15....

Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Well.. that was easy. A change to zm_event_end.sh seems to do the trick nicely. As the name suggests, it's called from zmeventnotification at the end of an event so the object detection will have been run. A touch on the crude side as it assumes a) you're running the script on the same host as ZM an...

Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Thanks for that Isaac. Any time based solution (only delete after N seconds) is not pretty IMHO. So that means that either ZM's tables and filters have to be modified to work nicely with object detection or, having thought about it a bit more, zmeventnotification could delete events itself if no obj...

Re: 1.34.3 zmc broken with nvidia cuda

Yes. The .58 is my self compiled ffmpeg 4.1.4. I tried adding your repo and doing an "apt-get install -t eoan ffmpeg" but it barfs on a whole host of unmet dependencies on my bionic system. I realise that the GPU stuff is all {b}leading-edge for ZM and getting it to work is like the olden days of pa...

Re: 1.34.3 zmc broken with nvidia cuda

Sadly that's not it.

I removed cuvid, reinstated zmc-1.34.3 and the problem still exists :(

However, running zmc-1.34.2 without cuvid in DecoderHWAccelDevice also seems to work. I wish I understood all this magic!

Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Oh.... just for anyone else tuning in to this thread.... Asker's motion detection stuff really does make a huge huge difference to the usability of Zoneminder. I'm still running a 'conventional' version and a test-rig with object detection and automagic event deletion. For the same camera I have 964...

Re: Object detection and event filters problem.

Correct - according to the documentation, filters work on FILTER_RELOAD_DELAY time so "1 minute ago" does not do what's expected with respect to wall clock time. See section 2.7.4 here: https://readthedocs.org/projects/zoneminder/downloads/pdf/stable/ As I said above, using some 'magic' amount of ti...

Object detection and event filters problem.

I'm doing object detection on Modect cameras and running a filter to delete events that don't have "detected:" in the notes. This is working very well and I'm no longer seeing events featuring bats, birds and bugs :) However, some events that I expect to see with objects detected are getting deleted...

1.34.3 zmc broken with nvidia cuda

I just upgraded from 1.34.2 to 1.34.3 (Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS, apt-get install zoneminder using http://ppa.launchpad.net/iconnor/zoneminder-1.34/ubuntu) and zmc broke :-( I'm using a GPU with self compiled ffmpeg and DecoderHWAccelName set to 'cuda' and DecoderHWAccelDevice set to 'cuvid'. My zmc logs a...

Re: Record High-res H264 streams 24/7 with low CPU Load

That's weird. My setup's much the same as yours and zmrecord.sh v0.7 doesn't go above ~3% load for a 2688x1520x32 camera.

Does going from 0.3 to 0.6 cause the leap in load or is it only 0.7 ?

Re: Add LInked Event Trigger Id and Object Score to Events

I was suggesting an index on ObjectScore so that one could run a filter more efficiently for events that do not have an object detected. Yes I realise this would mean extending the filters to include ObjectScore. Select Id from Events where ObjectScore > 10; where ObjectScore is indexed seems a lot ...

Add LInked Event Trigger Id and Object Score to Events

I'm using Asker's most excellent zmeventnotification Object Detection stuff with the end goal of removing all events that did not have an object detected so that I'm not looking at endless events triggered by Bats'n'Bugs :) For the record, I'm also recording the high-res streams without detection as...

Re: Record High-res H264 streams 24/7 with low CPU Load

Very nice mods by Matt - Thanks muchly. I've just installed a shiny new ZM 1.34.1 system and notice an issue with the StorageId (it seems to be 0 on new monitors but the Storage Db index starts at 1). Anyway, I fixed that in zmrecord.sh and added support for EventPrefix for tuxmos. While furtling, I...

Re: Instant notification on alarm + machine learning object detection

Just a thought.... but wouldn't MQTT cover the functionality you describe and leverage all the other tools and systems (who just said Homeassistant?) that use MQTT?

PS - Just fired up your motion stuff today - Brilliant! TVVM.
