We got a new DVD built with 1.24.0 and the latest ffmpeg, and we also built a VPS template and have it running on our hosted VPS servers..

Debain Etch is going to need a whole bunch of dependencies to get zoneminder installed.. Been there... done that.. Try using ubuntu or kubuntu and you will have much better luck.. go look for 1.24 install DVD and you will find a free install on kubuntu 8.04.. It is not the latest 1.24.0 but it works...

Sure it will.. Throw it in there and fire it up.. I don't quite understand why you would go to all the Fedora trouble though, when there are good VM Operating Systems all over the place that are plug and play... I know they work in VMware and proxmox.. I also have a pre-built VPS template with zonem...

newvisionantenna already said it all very well, and you guys can have a copy of it.. no problem.. Tell you what... anyone who needs a key to that DVD can get it free from newvisionantenna, as he has the key generator for it.. I don't know why ubuntu 8.04 and better does not have the xorg.conf stuff to let you change the default screen resolution, but it does not..
