Re: Deleting events older than 30 days

Thanks.I did greater than 30 day and it deleted all the events.I will have to wait 30 days and find out how
your suggestion works. Why is there "-" before the 30 day and do I have to do this for every monitor ?
thanks

Deleting events older than 30 days

I know this question has been asked and answered many times before. But all my searches keep taking me back to the Wiki which is a bit more reading than I like to do. How do I set up filters to delete events over 30 days old? My system load goes above 1.0 consistently when my Disk is about 15% full w...

How do you protect your system?

I think I have a good UID and Password set up for my system but look all the failed attempts that some body has made to access my system. One of these days it is going to succeed. Is there a way to prevent these types of multiple attempts, like 5 attempts and your IP address is locked out or somethi...

The way it worked for me is that if I wanted to play the last five events I select the oldest of the five events and it plays from the oldest to the most current event. If I selected the most current event it will only play a single event. It did not skip backwards in time for gapless play. You may ...

All I have on the system is zoneminder for home surveillance but, I would still like to have
it secure. I use Putty to occasionally access the system. How do I change that to another
port other than port 22? thanks

Does this mean some one is trying to access my system?

I found these client IP addresses in my apache error log and non of these are addresses that I have used. Is a strong password enough or do I need a software to protect my system? thanks. apt-get install sysvconfig

I installed Zoneminder on ubuntu 9.10 server 32 bit. I used the installation procedure for ubuntu 9.04 in the Wiki. "apt-get install sysvconfig" appeared earlier in the procedure before I installed zm but I got a response that said "sysvinit-utils replaces it" and "E: Packag...

Any one with zm on Ubuntu 9.10 server 32 bit ?

I followed the ZM installation guide on Ubuntu 9.04 server 32 bit. But the compilation failed and "make" returned 2 errors in the "Install & Config zoneminder" section. If you had a successful zm install on Ubuntu 9.10 server 32 bit please help with how you were able to get i...

I am not going to pretend to know much but I would look in to the memory
requirement because 512mb seems to low. See if you can run only one
camera and see the picture improve.
