Motion detection issues

I am on ZM 1.32.3 running on CentOS 7 as a VM under ESXi. I tried to update to the latest version of ZM but that went very badly so I reverted back to 1.32.3. I am generally having issues with motion detection, especially on one camera. I have two Ubiquiti G3 Flex cameras, both running the same/late...

OK, a tad bit more progress has been made. If I fire up FireBug and have a look at the HTML being fed to my browser, the img tag that displays the actual image is such : var streamSrc = "http://server:6363/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=6&scale=100&maxfps=5&buffer=1000&au...

Well, I have made some minor progress. I took the connection path from the cam's logfile for a connection made using the cam's internal web view, and got that to work in ZM setting the source type to ffmpeg, and the source path to rtsp://admin:airlive@192.168.123.100:554/h264/media.amp. Now, when I ...

Increase Frames/Sec - AirLive OD-600HD

I am trying to increase the frames/sec for my Airlive OD-600HD. I have tried just about everything I can think of. The FPS from the web based viewing direct to the camera gets me at least 15 FPS and things look great. However, in ZM I can never get better than 4 FPS. I have played with the ffmpeg op...

Well, I spoke too soon. Althougth I got the streaming to work at an acceptable bandwidth, now the motion detection is not working. It captures the event, and you can view the stills one at a time, but you can watch the captured stream. I get tons of errors in the log files, here are some details. An...

Finally, I have things working properly, almost. On the options page, I set the STREAM_METHOD to MPEG and set the FFMPEG_INPUT_OPTIONS to -vcodec libx264 -vpre hq -threads 0 -8x8dcd -b 3072 Now the bandwidth on my 100Mbit connection is down to about .15% utilization, way below the previous 2.5%. The...

Curtis, you guys have one of these cams in your Inventory room. Do you have the ability to set it up on ZM(1.24.x) and see if you get the same results ? I am on Fedora Linux(v10).

Pretty sure it is not the stream. I can tell when it is the stream as the image file size just keeps growing and never stops, I stopped it at 50mb. If you pause ZM, then right mouse on the image and click view image, it will open another browser tab/window with just the image, no stream. Then a righ...

Curtis, here is what I do know. I have done some bandwidth testing and at about 5 frames/sec at 640x480, it is utilizing a consistant 12.5% of my 100Mbit connection through ZM. If I go to the web server built into the cam and view the same stream, the bandwidth used on my 100Mbit connection is less ...

Yup, I forgot the divide by 8, my error. I just don't understand why the cam's internal web server can do the job, but ZM cant. I have tried all the setting posted at BlueCherry(where I bought the cam), none makes any difference whatsoever. /mjpg/video.mjpg?resolution=vga (30FPS) /mjpg/video.mjpg?re...

ZM Bandwidth help needed

Hello all, I am looking for some help in configuring ZM in relation to the image size sent to the browser. I am using the AirLive OD-600HD and if I use the web interface built into the cam, all looks great, works great. Each frame is about 65kbytes in size and streams very nicely over the internet, ...

CPU Usage question

I have 2 servers, exact same hardware, exact same OS(Fedora). One is running ZM 1.24.x and the other is running ZM 1.23.x. There is a marked difference in the CPU load for ZM between these 2 servers. I am wondering if the network based cameras put a heavier load on ZM versus the capture card based c...

I contacted Curtis today, he recommended 3 cameras and I placed my order today. He was very helpful. I just hope it works with ZM including the PTZ. And if not, I hope we can work out an exchange. All is good so far. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Keith, thanks for the reply. Not sure why I had forgotten about bluecherry, that is where I got the capture card for the last ZM system that I set up. Looks like they only offer the 207W, which is OK, but I dont need the wireless and I will have to figure out how to get POE on the 207. I had seen ma...
