socket_sendto( /var/run/zm/zms-746785s.sock ) failed:

Hello, I just upgraded to 1.25 and I now get occasional errors socket_sendto( /var/run/zm/zms-746785s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory. Any Idea what this is and how to fix it? I can't find any reference to this anywhere. Also, how can I clear out the logs. The clear button clears the screen...

Re: ZoneMinder 1.25.0 - preview

Is there a way to clear the new logs. I tried clicking the clear button and the screen clears but the logs remain.

Re: Shared data size conflict issue in system LOG

I get the same thing. No idea why. I increased my shared memory size and that did not change anything.

I realize this is a spare time thing. There are quite a few people reading these forums, and there must be one that has read this that understands how the 3 blob settings relate to each other. The manual really is lacking in this area. I think many of us would like this cleared up. I wasn't trying t...

So after 53 views not 1 person knows how this works. I find that surprising. I hate to think that this is one of those forums where every takes and no-one gives!

Min/Maximum Filtered Area

I apologize in advance if I am asking a question that I should have been able to figure out, but I just don't get it . If I give an example maybe someone can tell me how the Min/Maximum Filtered , Filtered Area and Blob are work. I understand the concept behind the blob, but can't put all 3 together...

individual camera settings

i have noticed that if I change the brightness, contrast etc. on one camera, it changes on all my cameras. Is there a way to have individual settings for each camera? Thanks. I looked all over the forums, but couldn't find this one. Sorry if I missed it.

... I'd be curious to know if any one else has had any luck with these cams so I can do a proper blurb in the wiki. I notice they are flooding the market with them around here and you see them almost at every retail outlet. The ones I have came from Costco (fortunately) because they have already go...

Do they have a model number? Usually there is a set of dip switch's or pots on the camera to set these unless they are IP cams. Model QSC48030. No dip switches. That's why I asked about software control. Thanks. I wouldn't recommend Q-See cameras. I have had several replacements, and still have one...

AGC, BLC, White Balance On/Off

I have some Q-see cameras and the CRAPPY manual say AGC: On/OFF, White Balance: On/Off and BLC: On/Off. It doesn't say how to turn these things on/off just that you can. Is this something I can do in Zoneminder? How? Don't make fun of my Q-see cameras. They are crap, but all I can afford! Thanks

Sorry, I'm fairly new to this. Even if I set up a proxy or Multicast, how do I just display the feed and none of the zm contols.

Is there a way to sent the result out a tcp port instaed of the screen, so it can be viewed on the web? That's what zms does. You can create a html page and use zms to lay it out any way you like. What I want to do is just have the live video placed on a web site. I don't want any of the ZM control...

Resolution for NTSC does not directly translate into pixel resolution it is Spatial. OK, so how does one figure out what the pixel resolution is. All the Mfgs give the NTSC resolution. There must be way to figure it out. I can set mine to almost anything, but I would prefer to know the true resolut...
