If Apache is serving pages on the lan, but not on the internet, you may have to look at your router settings and make sure you have port forwarding set up correctly.

Have you checked Bluecherry to see what they have that might do the job?

No. ZM runs as a service no matter if you are viewing it in a browser or not.

The only suggestion I have it to make sure you are logged in as Admin, and that Admin has permissions for that function.

No, ethernet never wires in series. You run a separate wire from each camera parallel to an ethernet switch.
